Hop! Sentimental Sundays and Bugaboo Stamps

Happy Easter Sunday! I hope the Easter bunny brought you lots of goodies! Time for a new challenge at Sentimental Sundays. This week's challenge is to make a shaped card, plus add a sentiment. Since today is Easter, I thought I'd get one last Easter card in!
Our sponsor this week is Bugaboo Stamps.
My fancy little bunny is made from a cut file from the Silhouette online store. I cut him out twice and attached him at the ears to form a card. The papers are an assortment from the Lavender and Collectable lines by My Mind's Eye. His little puffy tail was embellished with pom poms cut from so white fringe and glued in place.
The letters are Thickers and the ribbon is from May Arts. Paper flowers are from Micheal's.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to head over to Sentimental Sundays to check out the rest of our awesome design team's creations and link up your card for a chance to win!

Friendship

Good morning! It's finally Friday and the last day before Spring break here! I'm hoping to be able to spend some quality time with my daughter. She's growing up so fast and it won't be long before she's on her own, so I'm trying to savor our time together. *sigh* She's my baby so it will an empty nest in just a few short years.

Today's card is for The Shabby Tea Room and the JustRite Friday Challenge. It's so springy and reminds me of the time we spend at Easter and doing our annual gardening. The azaleas are in full bloom here and we have a bush with flowers this exact shade of pink!

I used an assortment of pink papers by Glitz Design,Webster's Pages and Pink Paislee. The stamp Is by JustRite. I don't ave a source for ribbons, they were in my stash. The vellum butterfly is from Jenni Bowlin.
Here is a closeup of the sentiment:
Thanks for stopping by today; I hope you like my card. If I don't get around to posting this weekend, please have a wonderful Easter!

Happy B-Day My Girl

Good morning! Today's card is for the Mojo Monday challenge this week. It's square or round week. I went square!
I used patterned papers from Teresa Collin's She Said He Said line. They are super cute! My favorite paper is the one on the banner: it's a chevron with all the patterns on it.  All of the letter and word stickers are from the same line as well. The tissue paper flower is from American Crafts and the green wood flower is by Little Yellow Bicycle.

I'm off to an appointment this morning: thanks for coming by to visit!

Merci Beaucoup..... And A Rooster

A funny thing happened on the way to my blog: I came online to post my latest card and somehow ended up at a blog design site and you can see what transpired next! I decided to clean the 'ole blog up a bit and make it cleaner. I'm still dusting and getting some things settled, but the main page is up and running. I hope you like the new look!
Today's card is  for the Cardabilities Challenge.
I started with good intentions, but went way off the path! This card is made with papers from Graphic 445's French Country line. I've been lusting for this ever since I saw the sneak peeks from CHA.It has to be one of the most beautiful lines I've ever seen! I piled so many flowers on this card I had to use a glue gun! I think I see a couple of webs still on it: sorry! The sentiment stamp is from JustRite. I also used some gorgeous burlap ribbon from May Arts.

Thanks for stopping by, I am always thrilled when you visit!

Easter Greetings

Where did this week go? I can't believe I haven't posted since Sunday. I've been plugging away in the craft room this week with nothing to show for it! I've actually been working on some upcoming guest designing projects and magazine submissions, so I can't show any of those projects yet. I do however, have an Easter card for you today.

It has two elements that I've been trying to work more with lately, the color purple and vellum. I think embossed and/or pierced vellum is just so pretty! I have so many embossing folders that I haven't used: I really need to get them out more. Why is is so easy to collect supplies and so hard to used them sometimes?

The bunny is from the Silhouette store. I love it!  I computer generated the sentiment and used my Spellbinders to make a frame for my bunny. I thinks he's so cute with the bow around his neck!

I'm going to link this up to two challenges:
The Shabby Tea Room and Cameo Creations Challenge

Thanks for stopping by today! I do have some cards to post later today or tomorrow, so I'll see you then!

Lucky......

Hi everyone! I hope your week is going well. We're doing alright here in Georgia, just waiting for a little warm weather! I'm going to the eye doctor later; I'm trying some bifocal contacts. I'm so trying to ditch my reading glasses!
Last night I was working in the craft room, and my cheap $1 reading glasses broke, on my face! The frame made a 'pop' and I took them off to see what was going on. They just spontaneously decided to split and the lens fell out! I guess you get what you pay for! LOL
Today's card is one I made for the challenge over at The Kraft Outlet. The theme is 'lucky green'

Totally CAS! Well, maybe the glitter puts it a little over the top! The shamrock and sentiment were both cut on my Portrait. I made the word myself and the shamrock is from the Silhouette store. Add a little green bling and done!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Celebrate!

Hi my lovely readers! Today's card was made for two challenges:  The awesome sketch at Cardabilities and the lovely inspiration at The Ribbon Reel. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to use some more purple. It's a color that I love, but never seem to make any cards out of it. I'm trying to figure out why I have so much purple card stock, but hardly any patterned papers in my stash.Hmmmm...
This patterned paper is by Webster's Pages. It's a 12x12 sheet, so the pattern is a little big. I made all of the flags by folding paper and washi and notching the ends with my scissors. So easy and no dies required!

I love this picture!
Here's what I used~~
card stock-Papertrey Ink
patterned papers, ivory and blue lace-Webster's Pages
stamp-unknown
washi-MME and Recollections
white flower-Prima
small flowers-Recollections
white nd cream seam binding-Hug Snug
butterfly punch-Martha Stewart
pins on flags-Webster's Pages

Happy Birthday From Paris

Good morning! I hope you are having a great week so far. I'm still trying to wake up, my kitty is in my lap trying wake as well and he's making typing this post a bit difficult!  Today's card is my entry for the current Friday Challenge at JustRite Stampers. The challenge is to make a card that "pops"; meaning use foam tape or dots to raise the design from the card.  It also has to be a birthday card and I want to wish Sheri a Happy Birthday! I hope you like Paris!!
I am so happy with the way this turned out! I used the Greetings From Paris set for the images and the sentiment is from the Friends Antique Labels One set. The papers are Paris And Company by My Mind's Eye. All die cuts are by Spellbinders. The ribbon is Martha Stewart. The flower is Petaloo.I even added a birthday crown!

I hope you like today's card and thanks so much for stopping by, I really appreciate each and every one of you!

Merci...

Happy Monday my friends! The time change has officially killed me! I feel out of sorts as it was really dark this morning when I had to get up. I guess it'll pass in about a week and things will feel 'normal' again. I'm joining in on the current Deconstructed Sketch Challenge. The sketch looked like fun and I don't think I've ever used a tag on a card before.

Most of the supplies used here are from American Crafts. I used patterned papers from the Color Crush pad,the tag is Dear Lizzy. I don't know who made the stamp, the packaging was lost but I think it is K&Company. The flower is made from many layers of  white tissue paper cut with a Spellbinders Dahlia die and fluffed. The paper bow at the top if the tag is a cut file from the Silhouette Store.

I'm really loving the opaque gemstones used here. These are from Studio Calico, but I found some in other colors at Hobby Lobby this weekend. The star gems are from Jenni Bowlin.

Thanks for stopping by and visiting, see you again tomorrow!

You Make My Heart Smile-Sentimental Sundays and A Day For Daisies

Happy Sunday to everyone! I hope you are having a great weekend so far. Sundays mean it's a new challenge at Sentimental Sundays. The challenge this week is to use three different embellishments that start with the letter "B" plus a sentiment. Our sponsor this week is A Day For Daisies. They have graciously provided this cute bird image for me to create a card with.
My 3 B's are button,brad and bow.♥

I traced the stamp image in my Silhouette Studio software, colored it , and used the print and cut feature to cut it out with my  Portrait. It's a great way to use digital stamps if you don't own any Copics or want to hand color an image.
All supplies on this card other than the bird are as follows:
card stock,sentiment stamp-Papertrey Ink
patterned paper, button, bling, brad and chipboard pieces are from American Crafts

I hope you like today's card! We would be happy to have you join us this week at Sentimental Sundays!
Head over to check out the amazing work of the design team!

Love You More......

Happy Thursday! The weekend is almost upon us..so hang in there! The card I'm showing you today is for the washi tape challenge over at Moxie Fab World. I'm late to the wonderful world of washi, but am slowly collecting rolls as I shop around. It's fun to work with and I am trying to incorporate it into some cards and layouts.

I made washi feathers! I found a great tutorial here. They are quick, easy and oh so cute! All you need is washi and a little wire. I found this lovely card in the Silhouette store that I think is meant to be used for your Project Life albums. I reduced it a bit in size and backed it with more washi tape. Here is a closeup:

You're Oh So Lovely!

I'm sharing my weekly Mojo Monday card with you today! I try to play every week because their sketches are so inspiring! I usually stray from the sketch a bit but once the creativity starts flowing, I go where she takes me!

I recently splurged on some new releases; the paper and die cuts are from the new Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm collection. I'm so totally mad for chevrons right now! I'm trying to find a fusion between modern and traditional in my card making lately. I feel my personal style is somewhere in between the two. I hope this card illustrates that concept without looking too disparate.
 Supplies-
card stock-Papertrey Ink
patterned papersdie cuts,epoxy button-American Crafts
enamel dot-My Mind's Eye
Doily-Wilton
flower,striped ribbon-Micheal's

I hope you liked today's card! Thanks for stopping by , I so appreciate your visit!

Smile For The Camera!

Good Monday evening! I hope your weekend was great, it was a cold one here, and I actually saw three snowflakes!! It really looked like we might have snow on Saturday, sadly nothing but those few flakes ever materialized. Oh well, maybe next year!
My card today is for the current camera craze challenge over at Moxie Fab World. I got to play with the new Maggie Holmes for Crate Paper line. I ordered a 6x6 paper pad and some die cuts that match.

How cute are these papers? I added an iridescent sequin on each camera so it looks like the camera lenses are "real". When you move the card around, the reflection of the sequins looks almost like camera flashes!
What a way to make someone feel famous!  I tried to capture it better in the closeup below, but of course pictures sometime have limitations.
Supplies-
card stock, polaroid picture die-Papertrey Ink
patterned papers ,die cut camera-Crate paper
"smile" sentiment-Silhouette Online Store
twine- Doodlebug Design
pink jewel,sequins-Micheal's

Thanks for taking the time to visit, I appreciate it so much!!

Love You......

Happy Saturday!  Today's card is for the JustRite Stampers Friday Challenge . I actually made two,but didn't really like the other one. This is the one that made the cut:
I broke out my Decorative Labels Eight Spellbinders, aren't they just gorgeous? I used the frame from the Grand Sentiments sets and the sentiment actually came from the Large Fancy Sentiments set.  I heard that vellum is coming back into vogue for paper crafting so I broke out my stash, used an embossing folder on it and placed it behind the frame cut out.  I like it so much!

Supplies I used~
Card stock- Papertrey Ink, Bazzill
patterned papers-Teresa Collins
stamps-JustRite
die cuts-Spellbinders
vellum butterfly-Jenni Bowlin
black pearls-Martha Stewart Crafts
cameo stick pin-Webster's Pages
seam binding-Hug Snug

Thanks for stopping by today and have a great weekend!
