The Best!

Good morning friends! I have a little card to share today based on the May sketch over at the My Mind's Eye blog. It was definitely a challenge to interpret it into a card that even remotely resembled the sketch. As card makers, we don't have a lot of room to work with!
I'm still having a blast working with the Up And Away paper line. My paper pad is getting thin and I may actually use everything up! I let the paper design do some of the work for me in providing the background elements in the sketch and I took some artistic license and added some things. That's what I love about sketches, you can use them as a jumping off point and them add your own creativity.

That's all for today, I'm off to some appointments this morning! Have an awesome day and thanks for stopping by!

Floral Congratulations Card

Good morning, readers! I hope your Memorial Day Holiday weekend was peaceful and relaxing! We were able to get some planting done in the yard and we stained our concrete patio! My husband had that wild idea and it turned out beautiful! When it's done, I'll share a picture!
I was able to snag some card making time too and made this card to show you today.
Since this is the time when graduations are going on, I made another card for that occasion. I think this would  be great for a college grad or maybe an older grad. It could also be given for a career or  professional accomplishment.

I created this card using the color scheme for the JustRite Friday Challenge and the sketch from this week's Mojo Monday.

stamps-JustRite (flower&sentiment;Circle Of Life set)

Graduation Card

Hi everyone! It's time for a new challenge at Sentimental Sundays! Our theme this week 'clean and simple'  Create a clean lined project and don't forget to add a sentiment.
My nephew is graduating from high school next week and this is the card I made for him.

I am really pleased at how this turned out *and* I whipped it up in no time! I cut the numbers out with my Silhouette Portrait. I used the Century Gothic font and made an offset to layer the black and red together. The awesome star border is an EK Success border punch and the mortar board hat sticker is from Jolee's.

Our amazing sponsor this week  is Fred She Said. They offer a neat selection of digital stamps and cutting files. Click on their button below to visit the store!
Hop over to Sentimental Sundays and check out the rest of the awesome design team projects for some inspiration. I hope you join us!

Friends Are Kind To Each Others' Hopes

Happy Saturday! We awoke this morning to heavy rain and lots of thunder! My little calico cat is in hiding somewhere under a bed and my dog is hanging out at my feet, trembling. Poor babies! I wish I could make them understand!
Today's card is for the Freshly Made Sketch Challenge. They have a really great sketch and I just had to play!

I took a little creative license with it to suit the stamp and paper I wanted to use. All of the patterned papers are from the Porcelain Rose line by Kaisercraft. I can't resist a pretty bird! The stamp is by Inkadinkado. I stamped it in blue ink and cut it out. I added a little Webster's Pages trim to it along with some cream seam binding. The pink pearls and resin rose are the finishing touches.

Thanks for visiting me today! Have a great weekend!

Hey There...

Hey there my crafty friends! I hope this week has been great to you and everyone is doing well. I guess it's become a ritual every week to participate in the Mojo Monday Challenge. I can't resist their awesome sketches and I really enjoy having a jumping off point like a sketch when I'm designing a card.

I used My Mind's Eye papers and embellishments from the Up And Away line. The black and white ribbon is from Bazzil and the star is by Melissa Frances.
I rotated the elements of the sketch, but still maintained the landscape orientation. I mixed it up a bit and suited the sketch to the elements I wanted to use. I hope you can see the essence of the sketch!

I appreciate you stopping by today! I also want to thank everyone for their sweet comments and visits, you guys really keep me going and give me the will to create: I am so grateful to you! Have an awesome day!

Just Because....You're So Sweet

I didn't think I was going to make it,but I managed to create something for the current challenge at JustRite Stamps. The theme is sewing, so I was on a roll from yesterday's card and just carried my mojo over to this one!

I was looking through my paper stash and found this pretty paper pad from October Afternoon called Farmhouse. It has some paper printed with vintage looking button cards and one of them has 'just rite' printed on it! I also included various sewing and dressmaker elements in keeping with the theme.  I used a sentiment and frame from the Grand Sentiments set. Here is a closeup of the sentiment:

Wish Big

Happy Thursday! Sorry I've been scarce this week. I've been crafting like crazy, but every time I tried to stage a 'photo shoot', something called me away! I'm squared away now and can finally show you a new card. Yayy! This entry is for this week's Case Study challenge:

I found this Sizzix embossing folder at my local craft store and fell in love with it! I added a little white paint to the raised portions to bring out the beautiful floral design. I added some May Arts crinkled ribbon to the bottom and added a flower cluster for texture. The sentiment stamp is by Paper Sweeties. This would make a great birthday card.

Thanks for coming by!  I appreciate all of your visits and sweet comments;they really mean the world to me!♥

You Are My Sunshine

Happy Sunday, friends! The rain finally left us and it's sunny and cool today! In the South, it's usually very hot by now,so I'm enjoying this last breath of winter! Today's card is made with more new papers by My Mind's Eye. This collection is called Up And Away. It's from the same designer as the card I posted yesterday. This one has more of a steampunk(ish),carnival vibe, with carousels and top hats and mustaches.
I made this using the current sketch from Cardabilities
Thanks for popping by today! Have an awesome Sunday!

You Are The Best

Good morning! Today's card is a little cutie I made from my Spellbinders  Picot Edge Circle dies. They are the cutest little doily like circles and I use them in so many cards. I have several other circles, but this set seems to be my 'go to' circle!
Since this card is round and I embellished it heavily on one side, I had to enlist my little birdie assistant to help with my photo! It wants to roll like a doughnut! I made this one using the sketch from Mojo Monday and color inspiration from the current Ribbon Reel Challenge

Supplies-
card stock-Papertrey Ink
patterned paper,enamel dots,buttons-Teresa Collins
stamp- American Crafts
word stickers-Tim Holtz
mini clothespin-Little Yellow Bicycle
circle dies-Spellbinders
twine-my stash
seam binding-hug snug
star-Hobby Lobby
