Bye Bye Google Reader!

It's almost here. Sadly, Google Reader will be no more as of Monday, July 1. That's in 2 days. I'm pretty sure everyone knows about it now,but in case you haven't, stay with me.

As you know, right now any blog you follow is with Google Friend Connect (the "followers" widget>>>>>) was automatically added to your Google reader,so you can read new blog posts there if you wish. You also have the option of finding me in your Blogger dashboard if you have a Blogger account. Now, I'm not sure what will happen to the "followers" widget. I've heard rumors that it may not stay. Just rumors, not a fact.

If you want to keep up with all of the blogs you follow, you may want to consider changing over to one of the blog readers such as Bloglovin' or Feedly. I have places for each in my sidebar and I would love to have you subscribe to my blog with one of these in order to stay current on the happenings here at Kristi's Paper Creations. There are also other readers out there, but I'm in the process of checking them out and don't know all of them yet. I personally use Bloglovin' because I find it very easy to use.

Please note that if you currently subscribe to my blog via email, this change will not affect you. You will continue to receive emails from Feedburner every time I make a new post.

I would like to take this time to thank all of my subscribers, I am flattered and honored that you have chosen to come back again and again to see me. I really appreciate all of your visits and sweet comments every day!

Since you come here  to see cards, I won't disappoint you with a wall of text to read and nothing else! I actually have a card to share!
I think the sentiment fits the occasion! Thanks again, and if you have any questions, please click the "contact me" button at the top of the page or the email icon in the sidebar. I'll do my best to help! Have a great weekend, everyone!

JustRite And Samantha Walker Blog Hop Day Two

Welcome to day two of JustRite Papercraft and Samantha Walker's blog hop! We are featuring projects made with stamps designed by Samantha for JustRite. I hope you enjoyed hopping around yesterday and seeing all of the gorgeous projects that both design teams created for you!
Today I'm featuring another Halloween card:

My card features Boo-tiful Cameos and the Spider Web Background stamp. I used my electronic die cutting machine and it's accompanying software to create a witch's hat shape by welding a triangle and oval together and cutting it out on black card stock. You could also create this shape manually by just cutting out a triangle and attaching a half circle or oval to the bottom. I stamped the Spider Web Background stamp with embossing ink and  embossed it with silver embossing powder. After that, I used my hot glue gun to attach the ribbons and trims of my choosing, starting at the bottom of the hat and working my way up.I finished it off with a purple tulle bow and added a ribbon bow on top. Then I added some embellishments to the center of the bows. I stamped the sentiment from Boo-tiful Cameos on green card stock then layered it onto a purple rectangle cut from the Romantic Rectangles Spellbinders die. I hot glued some silver tinsel around it,attached it to a pin and tucked it in the bow. I added a little flair to the point of the hat with some purple trim and glitter dot.

Don't forget that all Samantha Walker stamps and dies are on sale this weekend! Click the picture below to snag some dies and stamps at great prices!

And to all of my wonderful readers and friends, I also thank you for the unending support and sweet camaraderie that we share each week! Papertrey June Blog Hop Challenge-Sparkly Birthday

Good morning! I hope this post finds you having an awesome week so far. I survived Monday! And what a day it was! I finally got off my duff and made a card for the monthly customer blog hop challenge at Papertrey Ink. The theme is "A Touch Of Gold". I broke out my Papertrey Ink stamps and went to work!

I used the starburst stamp from Hello Sunshine and made a background, using gold embossing powder. They reminded me of little starburst mirrors, so I added a small gold sequin to the middle of each. I used the Boutique Borders Happy Birthday Mini set for the focal point sentiment. I embossed the swirls in gold and stamped the sentiment in aqua ink.

Thanks for stopping by and visiting. Have an   awesome day!

The Possibilities Are Endless

Good Friday morning to you! The weekend is on us (almost) and I have a quick card to share with you.  I made this for the June challenge over at My Mind's  Eye. It's no secret I'm a huge fan of their products! The colors and style are out of my comfort zone a little bit, but I really need to stretch creatively and see where it goes!

Here is the mood board  we are challenged to use as inspiration:

All of the patterned papers, chipboard, enamel dots and sentiment stamp are from the Up And Away collection. I paired it with card stock from Papertrey Ink and American Crafts. I think this turned out really cute and funky! I hope you like it!

I must dash off, I need to do some cleaning and laundry (again). Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday...A Little Bird Told Me

Happy Thursday!  I've been playing catch up this week around the house. My washing machine broke down and we decided to replace it. After having *2* brand new, out of the box washing machines delivered and *both* of them NOT work, the third one is working like a charm and chugging away! We switched brands for the third one and I'll never buy any appliance made by the maker of the first two!

Onward and upward, I recently purchased some Secret Garden paper by Graphic 45. Oh, what a beautiful line! I've used it here in my card.

I used this week's Mojo Monday sketch and The Shabby Tea Room's inspiration picture.

Supplies~
cardstock-Papertrey Ink (rustic cream)
patterned papers-Graphic45 (Secret Garden)
edger punch-Martha Stewart Crafts
stamp-Inkadinkado
flowers-Prima
seam binding-Hug Snug
twine-my stash

A Colorful Birthday Card

Good morning! I hope this Saturday finds you well and having a great weekend so far.
I've spent the last couple of days flat on my back! I overexerted myself last weekend doing some gardening and yard projects. On Thursday morning, I bent over to get some laundry out of the dryer and boom! my back decided to quit and I've been down for the count! I'm feeling better today, I hope I can get back to normal soon! It really stinks getting old!
I do have a colorful card to show you today. It's going into my birthday card stash as there are some coming up and I need a few on hand.
I broke out my Vintage Bliss papers by Simple Stories. I absolutely love this line! The colors are just so pretty! The stamp is from Papertrey Ink as well at the matching die. I did some two tone embossing to make it a little interesting.  I used this week's Deconstructed Sketch as the starting point.

Supplies-
card stock,stamps-Papertrey Ink
patterned papers-Simple Stories
seam binding-Hug Snug
green silk ribbon-May Arts
felt flower-K&Company
butterfly punch-Martha Stewart Crafts
