Give Thanks- The Kraft Journal Make It Monday 148

Happy Monday and welcome to another Make It Monday Challenge at The Kraft Journal blog! This week's challenge is So Thankful. Create a project or cad with the theme and be sure to include a kraft item or anything that can be purchased at The Kraft Outlet store.
For this week's So Thankful challenge,I  made this quick and easy Thanksgiving card. I started with a base from Lunch Bag Cover Weight Kraft Card Stock. After scoring and folding ,I adhered a strip of wide chevron ribbon across the center using wide red line tape. I stamped a wreath onto a Small Glassine Bag, filled it with sequins and glitter in fall colors and stitched around the edges for contrast. After stamping a sentiment on Lunch Bag Kraft Cover Stock ,I die cut it into a banner. Using Natural Burlap Ribbon,I fashioned a relaxed bow, frayed the ends, and adhered it to the card with hot glue as shown. After threading a pumpkin button with some hemp cording from the Dark  Jewel Hemp Cord pack,Kristi adhered it to the center of the bow.She added the sentiment banner to the bow using a Memo Pin.I finished off my card by adding another hemp cord threaded button  to the center of the wreath.

I hope you'll use the inspiration for your project and link back to us at The Kraft Journal blog.Remember, all followers of The Kraft Journal blog who link up their projects are entered into a monthly drawing for a $15 voucher from The Kraft Outlet. You also have the chance to have your work featured on Feature Me Friday. Little Fox Christmas Card

Happy Thursday, my friends! Today's card is just for fun. I found this sweet fox stamp in the dollar bin at Michael's a couple of weeks ago. My daughter had a fit for it,and it's been sitting on my desk just begging to be made into a cute card!
Isn't he a cutie? I made up the sentiment and printed it out on kraft stock. The card stock is a mixture of Papertrey and Bazzil. The pine cone patterned paper is from the Frosty Elegance mat pad by Martha Stewart Crafts. It's in Michael's stores now.

That's it for today, I hope you like my little foxy Christmas card! Have a great day!

Autumn Leaf Card- Make It Monday At The Kraft Journal

Good morning and welcome to another Make It Monday Challenge at The Kraft Journal. It's a color challenge this time around. And what great colors they are! Perfect for those last few fall and Thanksgiving cards you may want to make.  Your projects must include the use of Kraft cardstock and/or items that can be purchased at Kraft Outlet!  Here's my take:
Here's the color reference for you:
I started with a Brown Kraft Cardstock base. I then layered on a panel of patterned paper with a leaf theme. I used another panel of Vintage Dictionary paper, matted in dark brown, and adhered it to the center of the card front. I die cut a large maple leaf out of brown card stock, used my stylus to shape the leaf, then sprayed it with various shimmer inks for a soft metallic look. After adhering the leaf, I made a bow from Natural Hemp Cording, burgundy satin ribbon, and red cord from the Dark Jewel Hemp Cord pack. I used hot glue to secure the bows to the base of the leaf, then used a sparkly button in the center. I applied the rub on sentiment to a piece of cream patterned paper, fishtailed the end to make a banner, then adhered it to the bottom front as shown.

I hope you'll use the color inspiration for your project and link back to us at The Kraft Journal blog.Remember, all followers of The Kraft Journal blog who link up their projects are entered into a monthly drawing for a $15 voucher from The Kraft Outlet. You also have the chance to have your work featured on Feature Me Friday. Hope to see you there!

Joyeux Noel-Paper Sweeties November Release Day Four

Hi my dear crafty friends and welcome to the final day of the Paper Sweeties new release for November. I'm  changing gears today and have an  elegant card to share with you. The set I'm featuring today is called Season Of Love.

The focal point was made by using 2 circle dies and embossing them onto rustic white card stock. Instead of using the cutting plate,I simply used the embossing pad and plate. I also spritzed the paper very lightly with water be fore I ran it through my die cutting machine to relax the paper fibers and get a deep emboss. I then stamped the wreath and sentiment in the middle and embellished it with silver gems and 2 bows. I like the unusual color scheme of blue, gray and white.

Thankful For Home- Make It Monday 146 At The Kraft Journal

Happy Monday! It's a new week and a new Make It Monday at The Kraft Journal blog. This week's challenge is to use any sketch, and remember to use kraft in your project or anything that can be bought from The Kraft Outlet store. Since Thanksgiving is just around the corner, Ive made a card showing my gratitude.
The sketch I used is the current Deconstructed Sketch, that can be found here.

I started with a Blank Kraft Note card as the base. I layered  patterned papers and added some stitching in brown thread. I cut a long strip of Kraft Recycled Tissue Paper, cut it into a fringe and added it to the bottom of the card. I scrunched it with my fingers to give it a fluffy appearance. The focal point of this card is a 'Home' flashcard sticker from Hodge Podge Magpie Stickers. I also used some word stickers from Chit Chat Words to build the rest of the sentiment. A layered pumpkin sticker was added to the left of the focal sentiment and a Clock Face Icon was added for interest. I added a bow made from Kraft Wraphia Ribbon and checked fabric ribbon to the top and adhered a metal acorn sticker embellishment to the center. A small wood leaf adds the final touch.

I hope you'll link up with us this week! Remember, all followers of The Kraft Journal blog who link up their projects are entered into a monthly drawing for a $15 voucher from The Kraft Outlet. You also have the chance to have your work featured on Feature Me Friday.

Have a great week and I'll se you over at The Kraft Journal!

A Moxie Fab Thank You

Happy Saturday to all my crafty friends! Today's post is a very special farewell and thank you blog hop honoring Cath Edvalson at Moxie Fab World.  She has announced recently that Moxie Fab is closing  and she will no longer be posting to the blog. Today, literally hundreds of card crafters are honoring her with a special send off blog hop.
If you're following along the hop, you should have arrived here from Kanan Pandya's blog.

Moxie Fab is a term that Cath coined to describe the latest and greatest trends in paper crafting. She kept us up to date with what was going on in the paper crafting scene and hosted many challenges that made us explore out creativity in current ways. She also had a Moxie Fab column in Paper Crafts Magazine. She was a source of great inspiration and Cath, you will be sorely missed! I made a special card for you today, A holiday thank you, if you will:

Thanks for the awesome inspiration and for all of the sweet comments you've left me over the years!
I sincerely hope that wherever your travels take you, that it will be a journey of joy and love. You will always Moxie Fab to us!

The sweet wreath and sentiment stamp I've used today is from the new Season of Love stamp set from  Paper Sweeties. The November release is live and ready to ship today! We will be back with the official release next week as usual, but you can go ahead and make your purchases today!

All My Love- JustRite Papercraft New Release-Coffee And Friends Background Stamp

Hi my crafty friends and welcome to another day of the November release from JustRite Papercraft! Today's featured stamp is a beautiful background, featuring coffee and roosters. I have a small collection of roosters that live on top of my refrigerator. Not real roosters (wouldn't that be cool?LOL), ceramic ones! This stamp just screamed French Country to me, so I broke out my Graphic 45 French Country papers to go along with it.

I love the rich red, blues, yellows and browns I've used here. I stamped him out in brown Memento ink and colored him with my Copic Markers attempting to match him with the colors in the background paper. I think my favorite part of this card is the red silk ribbon and eyelet trim! The sentiment is from the previously released JustRite set, Lace Vintage Labels Three.

You've Got Style!-JustRite Papercraft New Release Fashion Vintage Labels Six

Happy hump day and welcome to another new release from JustRite Papercraft! The November release is in the store and ready to ship! Today's featured set is Fashion Vintage Labels Six. It's a cling stamp set with a focus on women's fashion. My favorite fashion item has to be handbags! I used the cute handbag in today's set and fashioned a cute little bag with some Spellbinder dies.
Of course, it's pink! How awesome is a new pink handbag?
I used my Grand Labels One dies as the bag base. I simply cut two from pink card stock, scored about an inch below the top of the back piece, and adhered them together to create the base. I layered another patterned piece cut from  the smaller Labels One die on top of the base. For the flap of the purse,I cut two pieces from my A2 Scalloped Borders One dies and layered them on the top of the card. The handle was created with Spellbinder's Classic Scallop Edgeabilities die. I cut both sides with the scalloped die, trimmed it to size and adhered to each end of the front of the card. I stamped my sentiment onto white card stock, die cut it with a Classic Oval die, then layered it onto a decorative oval cut with a die from  Floral Ovals. After stamping and cutting out the sweet little purse, I added a satin flower,a pearl and rhinestone button, then adhered it with foam tape. All that was left to do was add a little lace, ribbon and flower!
Fashion Vintage Labels Six coordinates with the JustRite Custom Spellbinder die set Vintage Labels Six.

Happy Birthday Dad-JustRite Papercraft November Release Haberdashery Vintage Labels Five

Welcome to another day of the November release from JustRite Papercraft! Yesterday we showcased some lovely ladies shoes, today we a giving a nod to the fashionable gentleman. Our featured set today is Haberdashery Vintage Labels Five. This clear stamp set coordinates with the JustRite Custom Spellbinder dies Vintage Labels Five that was introduced in last month's release.

My card for you today has a little masculine mixed up with a bit of steam punk flair.
As a girly and frou-frou card maker, masculine cards can be so hard to make! This stamp set actually made it really easy. I repeated the wood grain in the focal stamp by using a wood grain embossing folder as my main background paper. The top hat in this set is just so cute, so I cut one out to join with the focal stamp and stamped a top hat border on the bottom. I added some metal gears and a masculine button to finish it off. Think of the color combinations this card could be made: blues and browns or black and white.

The fun's not over yet! Use the link list below to visit the other talented JustRite designers and see the beautiful projects they have created for you using this set!

Good Monday morning! It's time to be inspired! It's the November release from JustRite Papercraft and we have some beautiful stamps to showcase for you this week! Today, it's all about the shoes! What girl doesn't like new shoes? I actually tried something a little different and made a paper shoe! This little beauty makes a great party favor that you could tuck any small gift or candy into.I decided to make a gift card sleeve that you can tuck neatly away inside it. What a sweet presentation! This shoe features the new JustRite Papercraft Cling stamp set,Shoes Vintage Labels Six.

shoe with gift card sleeve tucked in
This little slipper is so very easy to make! It's also a great way to show off all the fancy trims and baubles you've collected. The template for the shoe can be found here. There is also a video tutorial you can watch with some helpful hints. It's really open to your creative  interpretation. Make it as plain or fancy as you like.I used a sentiment from Shoes Vintage Labels Six and die cut it with JustRite Custom  Dies Vintage Labels Six.I used a Tim Holtz memo pin to secure it between the heel of the shoe. I then glued a glass button over the pin to disguise it. The gift card sleeve was made from a digital cut file glued together and embellished as shown.

The fun doesn't stop here! The JustRite design team has some beautiful projects to share with you using this beautiful stamp set. Use the link list below to hop over to se what they've made just for you:

Give Thanks- Make It Monday 145 The Kraft Journal

Happy Monday! A new week means a new Make it Monday Challenge at The Kraft Journal! This week's theme is Harvest Time. Make a project with a harvest theme and remember to use kraft or any item purchased at The Kraft Outlet.

I started my Harvest themed card by making a card base with  Lunch Bag  Card Stock . I  added another layer of red quatrefoil patterned paper and distressed the edges slightly. After adding another slightly smaller layer of text paper and acorn printed paper,I stamped and colored a cornucopia onto a die cut doily and affixed it at the seam of the two papers. I wrapped a brown paper layer with Natural Burlap Ribbon, red cord from the Dark Jewel Hemp Cord pack and some Brown Kraft Baker's Twine. After mounting the layer to the middle of the card with foam tape, I  added a stamped tag to the baker's twine bow and embellished the right side with a button threaded and ties with some gold hemp cording from the Pastel Hemp Cord pack. After adding some fall leaf die cuts and some fall greenery, my card was complete!

I hope you'll link up with us this week! Remember, all followers of The Kraft Journal blog who link up their projects are entered into a monthly drawing for a $15 voucher from The Kraft Outlet. You also have the chance to have your work featured on Feature Me Friday.
