Make It Monday At The Kraft Journal

Happy Monday! It's time for another Make It Monday challenge at The Kraft Journal blog. This week, we're asking that you use die cuts on your creation. Also remember to use a kraft item or anything that can be purchased at the Kraft Outlet store.

I've combined premade die cuts with some I made with my metal dies.I started off with a 5.5 by 5.5 inch base from Brown Kraft Cover Weight Card Stock. I layered two different patterned papers on the base, then stitched around the edges with black thread.Idie cut a frame from Blackboard Stock Paper, then adhered it to the middle of the card using foam tape.I layered a frame and two tag die cuts, also adhering them with foam tape.I added a Tiny Wooden Clothespin and a piece of  Metallic Twist Hemp Cord to the smallest tag.I added several coordinating premade die cuts to her card, layering some with foam dots for dimension. A black and clear jeweled swirl sticker is the finishing touch.

I hope you'll join us this week and link up your projects using the inspiration theme,  use something kraft or any item that can be purchased at The Kraft Outlet store.Remember, all followers of The Kraft Journal blog who link up their projects are entered into a monthly drawing for a $15 voucher from The Kraft Outlet. You also have the chance to have your work featured on Feature Me Friday. Hope to see you there!

Make It Monday 158 At The Kraft Journal

Happy Monday! I hope your weekend was wonderful! It's time for a new Make It Monday Challenge at The Kraft Journal blog. This week's challenge is "Love". Interpret the challenge in any way you wish, just remember to use a kraft item or anything that can be purchased at The Kraft Outlet store. Here's my card for you this week.
I started with a card base made from Brown Kraft Cover Weight Card Stock. Then I layered a slightly smaller patterned paper piece to the center of the card. I misted a white heart doily with gold and pink shimmer mists, allowed it to dry and then attached it to the top right corner. I  took a reproduction vintage Valentine card and adhered it slightly off center and angled slightly on the card front, allowing the heart doily to peek out. I added an Adage Ticket and embellished it with heart rhinestones and  paper flowers.Ifinished the card by adding a silk ribbon bow and heart charm to the center.
Welcome Spring..JustRite PaperCraft February Release

Happy Saturday! I hope this posting finds you well, warm and safe from the brutal winter storms that are sweeping the country right now. We are expecting some sleet down here in Georgia, certainly a departure from our usual mild winters! I'm sure thoughts of Spring are in your mind, it really won't be long before it's here, thank goodness! JustRite PaperCraft's February release is in full swing and today's featured stamps are just the nudge toward warmer weather that we need. Welcome Spring  is the latest design from JustRite Illustrator Samantha Walker. There is also a set of companion dies, Nested Clouds And Tags. I have two cards to share with you using this sweet set.

How adorable is this sweet little bunny? So coy! I used purple and it's complementary color, green to make this Welcome Spring card. The bunny was stamped first then masked off in order for me to stamp the grass. I used my Copic markers to color the bunny and background. I also used two of the Nested Cloud dies here as well as a tag from the new die set. The stamps also include the cute corner stamp and there is even a matching die for it.
This card is a more traditional Easter color scheme of pink, green and blue. This scene also relied heavily on masking, especially the Easter Basket, bunny and eggs. This was also colored with my Copics.

The Butterfly...JustRite Papercraft February Release Hydrangea Vintage Labels Seven

Hi my friends and welcome to another day of the JustRite Papercraft's February release. Today's featured set is my personal favorite, Hydrangea Vintage Labels Seven. I just swooned the first time I laid eyes on it! I know it's still freezing outside, but  this beautiful set is just perfect for your Spring and Summer cards.

Vintage Labels Seven Dies

Hydrangea Vintage Labels Seven Clear Stamps

This set coordinates with Vintage Labels Seven Custom Spellbinders die set.

I began my card by making a base from cream card stock at roughly 5.5 by 4.25 inches. I layered a butterfly patterned paper cut slightly smaller than the base. I used my Spellbinder Grand Labels Four to cut out two nesting pieces, one from olive card stock and another patterned paper, the layered them as shown. I stamped, colored and die cut my two labels from Vintage Labels Seven and adhered them to the center of my card with foam tape. I stamped and fussy cut my hydrangea and butterflies and attached them with foam tape also. I die cut a border from light blue card stock from A2 Bracket Borders one and adhered it to the bottom of my card, then wrapped silk ribbon around it and tied a bow, obscuring the seam. A pearl embellishment was added to the center of the bow.I then accented my focal sentiment and butterflies with small pearls and my card is done!

Be sure to visit the other JustRite designers and see the gorgeous inspiration projects they have for you!
