Make It Monday At The Kraft Journal

Good Monday Morning and welcome to a new Make It Monday challenge. This week it's a color challenge.
This is a really  neat color combination and I enjoyed working with it.

My card is a simple one this week. I chose to use the dark pink on the  inspiration as the main color while the neutrals supported it. This would make a great any occasion or friendship card. I used the die cut ticket as the base for my sentiment banner and all of the embellishments. It's sort of a 'home base' for the flowers and allows them to be grounded or connected to the card without looking randomly placed. I embossed the pink card stock for some texture and interest on an otherwise white space.

Make It Monday At The Kraft Journal-Shabby Chic

Happy Monday and welcome to another challenge from The Kraft Journal! This week's theme is Shabby Chic. This is a style near and dear to my heart and one of my favorite styles ever. I've always loved the sweet feminine and slightly time worn style that shabby chic offers and dreamed of having a country cottage decorated in pink and aqua. Of course, since I share a home with hubby and kids, shabby chic is not practical for my home, so I get my fix making cards!
I reached for my Graphic 45 Botanical Tea papers and pulled some favorite designs out. A pink stripe,a green polka dot and my favorite rose pattern was the inspiration for the rest of my card. I started out with an ivory card base at about 5.5 by 5.5 inches. I cut the patterned patterned papers at graduated intervals  and machine stitched around the edges of each square. I then layered them at slight angles for a collaged and casual look. I cut the focal image from a piece of patterned paper and adhered it on the front of the card.
I adhered a lace frame around the focal image and embellished it as shown with seam binding ribbon, paper flowers, green pearls and a resin bird. I stamped the sentiment (from JustRite PaperCraft's Magnolia Vintage Labels Seven set) onto a die cut label and adhered to the left of the focal image. I think it turned out sweet. It may be one of my recent favorites!

Paper Sweeties June Release Rewind!

Hello and welcome to the Paper Sweeties June Release Rewind! This is the day that we take something from the new release and team it up with previously released items to show how Paper Sweeties stamps can mix and match for infinite variety. I didn't  reach too far back for my card today. I used a set from May's release; the set titled Feel Better Soon. I paired it with the cute little rain boots from Showering You With Love.
I used some cute papers from Glitz Design combined with kraft card stock. I stamped the boots and die cut them with the matching Sweet Cuts die and just colored them in with a coral pink marker. I've also included some Cotton Candy seam binding and enamel dots to accent my card.

Use the list below to visit the talented Paper Sweeties designers and see what they've made for your inspiration today.

Paper Sweeties June Release Party!

Hi and welcome to the June release from Paper Sweeties! All of the new stamps and die set are live and available for purchase in the store right now. A link to the 'what's new' section of the shop is at the end of my post.  Today's inspiration project is a bridal shower invitation.

My Carta Bella patterned paper directed my color combination of black, white, taupe and aqua. Very dramatic! I used the umbrella die from the Showering You With Love Sweet Cuts die set and the sentiment is from Splish Splash. I've used some Licorice Baker's Twine and Robin Egg Seam Binding from the Paper Sweeties store to embellish the umbrella and center flower cluster. This design could be easily simplified in order to produce several for a bridal shower.
Be sure to visit our super talented Paper Sweeties designers and see their projects for you today.
I hope you've found some new crafty goodies for your collection! Come back tomorrow,I have a project that features the new release combined with a prior release on the Paper Sweeties Release Rewind day!

Make It Monday At The Kraft Journal

Good morning and welcome to another edition of the Make It Monday Challenge at The Kraft Journal blog! This week's theme is 'Just For Him'. It's time to make a project for the man in your life!
I  made a vintage style Father's Day card this week. I started with a card base from Brown Kraft Cover Weight Card Stock, cut at 5x7 inches. I distressed and inked the edges. I then layered a piece of Vintage Dictionary Pages and aged it with brown ink as well. I stamped a frame slightly offset from the center on the card front. I adhered a gentleman sticker from Salvage Stickers French Industrial pack alongside the stamped frame.I fashioned the word 'dad' from more Salvage Stickers Crowded Attic pack and placed them in a metal bookplate frame and then attached it to the card front. I then attached the rest of the sentiment onto a Scalloped Grungy Prim Tag and adhered it to the card front also. I  embellished the card with a metal gear, die cut kraft banner, and some pleated Natural Burlap ribbon

I hope you'll join us this week and link up your projects using the inspiration theme,  use something kraft or any item that can be purchased at The Kraft Outlet store.Remember, all followers of The Kraft Journal blog who link up their projects are entered into a monthly drawing for a $15 voucher from The Kraft Outlet. You also have the chance to have your work featured on Feature Me Friday. Joy To The World

Good Sunday to you all! We've come to the end of glorious week of new releases from JustRite PaperCraft. We had a little something for everyone this time:some beautiful florals, a cute patriotic set, awesome new dies, and some Christmas goodies for your stamping stash. I hope you've found something new to add to your crafting collection. We have a couple more backgrounds to show you today. My card is made with the Christmas Post Card background stamp.
I embossed it in silver onto light gray card stock. I used a sentiment from the Elegant Christmas Swirls clear stamp set.  I put my Spellbinders 5x7 Mystical Embrace dies to work underneath the post card and used a smaller die from the same set for my sentiment tag. I wrapped it in yummy purple silk ribbon, mounted it on an embossed charcoal gray card base and added some flowers and little jingle bells with some twine. I think it turned out very elegant. I love the unusual color combination.

We're also introducing the Snow Days Background stamp today. I used it for my card posted yesterday.

The JustRite designers have some super gorgeous projects for you. Use the links below to visit them.

Let It Snow!

Good morning! It's another day of new release projects from JustRite PaperCraft! I hope you've been enjoying all the inspiration projects we've brought to you this week. Today's featured new release is Applique' Christmas Labels One.

I've combined the snowman from this set along with the tree from Christmas Stitched with Love that was introduced yesterday and the Snow Days Cling Background stamp. They all play together nicely so you can mix and match them. They are only limited by your creativity. The tag matches the tag die from the Nested Clouds and Tags JustRite Custom Spellbinders Die set, and the label in this set also matches Spellbinders Labels One dies. I've also used the matching SVG files to cut out the snowman, his top hat and arms, and the tree. I colored them with Spectrum Noir markers.

There are also two new background stamps being introduced today.Holly Stitched and Quilted Blocks.

She's from the new set called Christmas Stitched With Love. I've also used a new background stamp, Holly Garlands. She is just precious! I colored her with my Spectrum Noir markers in bright pink and green. It's been one of my favorite color combinations lately. I embossed the background stamp in white onto green card stock. I cut a piece of felt with Vintage Labels Seven and layered it with a 2013 Snowflake Pendant die cut. I've used the coordinating SVG files to die cut my angel and the little holly leaf . The sentiment is stamped on green card stock cut with one of the Vintage Sentiment Tag dies. Some sheer pink and green ribbon and little buttons are the final touches on my card.

A Little Bit Of Christmas In June!

Happy Thursday! It's day four of this month's release from JustRite PaperCraft! We're switching gears a little okay, maybe a lot, and showcasing a couple of Christmas items for you today. It's never too early to get started with your holiday cards. I know some card makers that make them year round in order to have them ready by the holiday season. My card today is made with the newest offering from our own Becca Feeken. The set is called Elegant Christmas Swirls. I've also used a new die from her collection, Heirloom Flourish Two.
I used a unique color palette for Christmas, aqua blue and bronze with some kraft. This was a card that came together by accident: I had originally intended to use aqua, pink and kraft. I was rifling through , my paper stash and came upon a piece of bronze metallic card stock. I wondered how it would look embossed with my new Spellbinders Labels 34 Medallion  M-Bossabilities embossing folder and it turned out so beautiful that I had to use it! I've also used Labels 34 and Decorative Labels 34 for the focal point. I layered 2 cuts from Heirloom Flourish Two underneath in aqua for contrast.

JustRite is also showcasing another beautiful Christmas background stamp, Ornament Cling Background.
Use the links below to visit the JustRite designers and see their gorgeous holiday projects made with these stamps.
I hope you'll come back tomorrow and take a peek at tomorrow's projects, we have plenty left to show you!

Floral Happy Birthday...

Good morning! It's another release day at JustRite Papercraft and we have a new die and a couple of new background stamps for you today. My card is a simple two layer card made with the Floral Stitched Background stamp.
I embossed the stamp in black onto some cold pressed water color paper and used my water colors to paint it. I mounted it onto a matching dark pink card base and added the birthday sentiment in pink. It was cut using the Spellbinder's Celebrations sentiment dies. I also created an envelope for my card and stamped the flap using the background stamp, except I used dark pink ink this time. It gives the recipient a preview of the card inside. I also added a few pink sequins to the center of the large flowers for a bit of sparkle.

There is also a new die set and another background stamp being introduced today. Sculpted Leaves Background and Vintage Layer Filigree dies from Becca Feeken.

We still have so much to share with you this week,I hope you'll come back tomorrow!

Hooray For The Red White And Blue!

Good morning, my sweet friends! It's day two of the JustRite PaperCraft June release! We have so many stamps in this release, and a little something for everyone! Today's featured set is titled Let Freedom Ring. It's perfect for those summer or July 4th cards and decorations.
I adored the cute hot air balloon in this set and just had to use it on my card! I've used some summery papers from Little Yellow Bicycle. I thought it would be cute in front of a star burst pattern. I've cut my balloon out using the matching SVG files available for this set in the JustRite store. I'm a terrible fussy cutter,so the cut files are my saving grace.

We're also featuring a new background stamp today called Shooting Stars Stitched Background

I hope you'll go and visit the rest of the design team, they have some beautiful inspiration projects for you using today's featured stamps!

Come back tomorrow, we have some more beautiful things to show you!

Heartfelt Thanks

Good Monday morning! Today is the first day of the designer's showcase of the JustRite Papercraft June Release. This month's release is huge and we have an extremely full week of inspiration projects for you!
My card today is made with the beautiful new set titled, Rose Bouquet Vintage Labels Seven and  Vintage Rose Frame Background.

What beautiful vintage images! I am particularly smitten with the roses in this set. I really love all types of floral images and incorporating them onto cards. I reached way back in my stash and found some bright papers by Anna Griffin that I used as my jumping off point. I guess if I hang onto something long enough, I'll use it eventually!;) I've colored my roses with Spectrum Noir markers in the light pink family. I've also used a bit of green silk May Arts ribbon and a rhinestone button in the middle.  I think this one turned out sweet and vintagey! (is that a word?)

Check out the rest of the JustRite designers, they have some wonderful things made just for you!

I hope you'll join me tomorrow for another day of The JustRite PaperCraft June Release!
