Autumn Thank You Card

Good evening! Sorry I've been a little MIA from blogging this week. I've been busy around the house and working on new projects to share with you next week. My mojo took a sabbatical and it's been a little frustrating! I do have a card to share with you today. It's another one I made with Basic Grey's Persimmon line. I made a few cards with this collection, the first one being on this post.

Love the blues and oranges, an unusual color combination for fall but, still fall like! I've added the sentiment to the bottom of the card ,but everything else is from the collection with the exception of the orange seam binding (which happens to perfectly match:) and the enamel dot by the sentiment.
This card would be a great thank you card for Thanksgiving, or just a seasonal all around thank you.

Hope you liked today's card, thanks for stopping over to see me! I'll be back next week with some new release projects for JustRite PaperCraft, I hope you'll check back!

Fall Mum Card-Cas On Friday

Happy Friday my sweet friends! TGIF! We're halfway through September and even though it's still reaching 80+ degrees everyday here in Georgia, I'm still having a blast making fall cards! It doesn't start cooling down here until about mid October and really our winters here are just an extended fall. It rarely stays cold here for very long. I STILL planted some yellow mums in the planters on my front porch yesterday. They're just beginning to open, so by October they should be a beautiful burst of yellow next to my red front door.

My card today is a super simple CAS card, I've been exploring a cleaner style lately, mainly because they are very challenging for me and I want to improve my design skills. I also like the idea of NOT taking 3 hours to make one card and having something that can actually be mailed First Class! lol

I recently purchased Mum's The Word from Papertrey Ink as well as the matching dies. It's been on my wishlist for a while and I finally ordered it. I cheated a bit here and cut out the flowers so I could play with the arrangement before committing to the design.  Ideally I would have all of the leaves and flowers stamped directly on the card base. Baby steps! The dies will come in handy to use as masks for stamping. I added a bit of twine at where the stems intersect to give a bouquet feel and a bit of texture. I love the sweet sentiment, it can be used for many different occasions, thinking of you, sympathy, missing you or just because.

I hope you liked today's card. Thanks for coming by and have a great weekend!♥

Paper Sweeties September Release Rewind!

Hello and welcome to the September Paper Sweeties Release Rewind! This is the day we pair a previously released item with the newest release. It shows how you can mix and match your Paper Sweeties Collection for many different projects. I didn't go back to far today. I used the flower stamp from last month's Party Time set.
I think I may be a little obsessed with this flower! I've paired it with the banner from Hello Friend that was released last month as well. The sentiment is from the new Smitten set. I envision this as a wedding card, but you could also use it for a variety of milestone occasions. All supplies are linked at the bottom of the post.

More Paper Sweeties ideas and  inspiration is just a click away.

Make It Monday At The Kraft Journal-Tag, You're It!

Happy Monday! It's time for a new Make It Monday Challenge at The Kraft Journal blog. This week's challenge is 'Tag, You're It!'. Use a tag somewhere on your creation,or make a tag.
I made a shabby chic card for this week's Tag You're It challenge. I began my card with a base made from Buff Ivory Cover Weight Card Stock. I layered a rose patterned paper panel cut slightly smaller than the base onto the center of the card. I then stamped the sentiment on a Grungy Stained Shipping Tag and adhered it to the front. I tied a pink silk ribbon around the front of the card and tied it into a bow on the left side. I  used 2 butterflies from the French Industrial Salvage Sticker pack and placed them as shown in the picture. To finish, I threaded the tag with a button using some twine from the Pastel Hemp Cord Pack.

I hope you'll join us this week and link up your projects using the inspiration theme,  use something kraft or any item that can be purchased at The Kraft Outlet store.Remember, all followers of The Kraft Journal blog who link up their projects are entered into a monthly drawing for a $15 voucher from The Kraft Outlet. You also have the chance to have your work featured on Feature Me Friday. Hope to see you there!
