More Cards From 2014 To Share

Happy Tuesday! I can't believe that it's almost the New Year! It's been a great year for me, I've been blessed to serve on three great design teams and have made many new friends through my blog. I've also gained many new readers and I am so thankful to you for making this blog and card making worthwhile. I honestly hope that you enjoy coming here and seeing my creations and that you get some inspiration on creating your own cards.

I make many, many cards every year. Some cards are made for friends and family, others are requested by them to give to someone else. I try to sneak a picture of most of them before they head out the door. Today I'm sharing some of these cards. I still have some of them, but most have found new homes. I gathered up a collection of cards made from Avery Elle stamps. This is a company I was delighted to discover this year. My collection of their stamps is growing and you'll probably see more of them in the coming year.

The first two are made with the Story Book set.

These are one layer cards meant to be mailed with only one first class stamp.

The sentiment on the one above is from Hampton Art Stamps. Flowers are from Laurels.
I've linked all of the stamp sets below in case you want to check them out. I have more unpublished cards to share with you soon! I hope you'll join me then. Thanks for visiting!

Some Shabby Chic Goodness

Hello my sweet friends! I hope your holiday was wonderful! We're recovering from Santa's visit and all the wonderful food we prepared and shared with our loved ones. Everyone got what they asked for, so I'm feeling blessed! I have some cards to share with you today. These are a bit different from what I usually create.
I've long been a fan of Anna Griffin: I have some of her stamps from at least ten or more years ago that I will never part with. I've always loved her floral papers and have purchased just about every one that's been made in 6x6 format  the last couple of years. She recently had a super sale and I ordered one of the card kits. I've resisted card kits because I felt that I had to made all of my cards from "scratch". I'm the type of person that takes at least a couple of hours to make a card. My stash is vast and choices are many and there have been times where I really needed a particular card in a hurry, but didn't have time to make one.

This kit came with everything pre-cut and all I've added are some die cut or embossed papers. All I had to do is literally place everything where I wanted and glue it down. So easy! I made over a dozen cards the last few days and I love them all. I'm holding onto some and placing some in my Etsy. Here a few of them.

I had a blast making these! I promise I'm not going to abandon stamping just yet! I just wanted to share with you another way of creating something beautiful for the ones you love and moving out of my crafting "box" so to speak.  Have a wonderful evening and thank you so much for visiting!

2014 Christmas Card Round Up

Good morning! Are you ready for Christmas? Well, all of the shopping and wrapping is done. All that's left to do here is to sit back, relax and wait for Santa to arrive! On my last post I promised I'd be back with more Christmas cards and the week slipped past me. If you didn't see my last post, these last three are cards I mass produced for family and friends this year using variations on a theme. I really dislike making more than two or three cards exactly the same, so I decided on a few different design elements, then mixed and matched them to create cards.
This one was created using a deer Silhouette cut file, Hampton Art Stamp and matching die, and some cool burlap doilies I found at Micheal's. The background stamp is from JustRite Papercraft.

This one includes my deer head punch and Cascadia wreath Memory Box die paired with Poinsettia Spellbinders and Extra Grand Holiday Sentiments from JustRite Papercraft.

This one features a bold wood grain pattern and a die cut sentiment from the Silhouette online store.

I had a lot of fun putting these together this year! I hope you liked them as well. I still have a few more cards to show you, so I'll try to be back in the next few days to show you. Thanks for coming over for a visit, see you soon!

Deer And Wreath Christmas Card

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope your weekend is going great! We've been trying to finish our Christmas shopping and getting it all wrapped and under the tree. Between the traffic and crowded stores, it been a stressful challenge! 'Tis the season! I  mentioned in my last post that I am mass producing Christmas cards for friends and family this year. I don't like to make the exact card more than twice, so I decided to make them slightly different. I picked out a few design elements and colors, then began pulling supplies out of my stash that matched. I made all of the components first and then began making card bases. I just pulled different components and arranged them until I was happy with the result. This is one of the cards I came up with.
They're all super simple in order to fit into an envelope for mailing or hand delivering. I decided on a rustic theme this year. I love how the kraft, red and green colors play together so well. The wood grain paper is from Avery Elle. I love the delicate grain; I can't find an embossing folder that looks this realistic. There is a white version  available as well. My deer head punch from EK Success is one of my absolute favorites! I bought it last year at my local Joann. The wreath is a Memory Box die called Cascadia Wreath. Not necessarily a Christmas wreath, but it'll do. The last die I used is from Spellbinders Ribbon Banners. If you are interested in locating any of the items I've used here, see the product list at the end of the post.

Stay tuned this week as I'll be showing you some similar cards and how I've taken just a few different supplies and made a variety of cards. I hope you'll come back to see them. Have a wonderful day!
