Vintage Style Christmas Cards

Wow! where has December gone? It's been a few weeks since I've posted here, sorry to be so absent. That doesn't mean that I've been idle in my card making, I've been running my little Etsy shop and trying to get it filled. I've also had lots of Christmas custom requests from friends and customers alike that have kept me extremely busy. Now that I'm all caught up, I have some to time to blog again!
I've always loved vintage photographs especially ones from the Victorian or Edwardian era. This year I've created a lot of Christmas cards with them, and have three to share with you today.

I'm starting with my favorite for this year. Love the pink, lavender and silver together! I admit, this card was tossed to the side for a couple of weeks before it came together. I let the pink and purple on the girl's clothes inspire the color combination. I bought some berry sprigs in the floral department and accented the side of the card. Love this one!

Here's another pink and silver one.I really love the old image of the two angels. All of the background paper and flourish are silver foil. It's so hard to capture on camera.

And now for something completely different! How about some bold green glittered paper? The holly die cuts and red frame paper is by Anna Griffin. I also have a stamp of this image!

I hope you liked my cards today, I have so many more to share with you before Christmas! I'll be back in a couple of days to show you some new Christmas cards! Thanks for hanging in with me, I appreciate all your visits!

My Sheri Crafts Challenge-Christmas Spirit

Happy Saturday, friends! It's time once again for a new challenge over at My Sheri Crafts! This one should be easy for you because I know you've probably been working on your Christmas projects! This time we want to see your Christmas projects that incorporate an old fashioned or vintage style. I consider this one of my signature styles, so I had a lot of fun making this card for you!

Isn't she just a cutie? In my internet travels I often come across free vintage images to be used in your arts and crafts. I've amassed a large collection of images and thought this sweet little girl would be perfect for an icy and snowy themed card! I love the combination of blues, white, cream and silver here. My favorite thing besides the image is the warm and cozy velvet ribbon. I don't use velvet that often, but I'm going to start!

I hope you'll join us this time over at My Sheri Crafts and link up your vintage style Christmas projects. Hope to see you there! Have a lovely weekend!

JustRite Papercraft November Release

Good morning and welcome to JustRite Papercraft's November release! We have some awesome products for you this month including some stamps and dies! We're condensing our release posts to one day only, so make sure you visit the Justrite blog and the rest of the designers linked later in the post to see all the wonderful inspiration projects we have for you.

This month JustRite is releasing a die set that is the companion to one of my favorite all time stamp sets, Shabby Chic Autumn Leaves. They are called Autumn Leaf dies. They can also be used without the stamps as well.
I've created an Autumn themed card with this lovely image from The Graphics Fairy and used the Autumn Leaf dies to die cut some leaves from burlap and glittered paper. I've stamped the word 'Autumn' from Shabby Chic Autumn Leaves onto some muslin that I've cut into a long strip and fashioned it into a multi looped bow. I've also decorated the inside:
I used another die cut leaf and stamped the sentiment and leaves from Shabby Chic Autumn Leaves.

Next up is a card made with the Remember You Are set. It's a very sweet sentiment set that can be used for encouragement cards or just because.

I found some bee themed paper in my stash and used the Bee And Laurel Spellbinders D'Lights dies on my card. The sentiment is surrounded by the laurel wreath and it fits just perfectly! This card is dolled up with some silk ribbon, Austrian crystals, a rhinestone embellishment and some sassy tulle trim! Here's a look at the inside:
I love how this one turned out!

I layered him with seasonal papers from my stash; mostly Authentique.I added a bit of burlap and twine for texture and some fabric leaves I found at my local Micheal's. My finishing touch was a metal button from my button jar! I think he turned out just sweet!

Come over and link up your Thanksgiving projects for a shot at being the next guest designer over at My Sheri Crafts. You have until Friday November 27th to enter. See you there! Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely weekend!

Some Pop Up Cards To Share

Happy Saturday everyone! I hope your weekend is going great. It's been a week since I posted and I don't really know where the time went! I've been busy in the studio and have lots to show you in the coming weeks. Today I'm sharing some neat popup cards I made with Anna Griffin's  Engraved Endearments pop up card kit.The first picture is the front.

As you open it, the pop up reveals itself
I just adore the blue color scheme! Hydrangeas are one of my favorite flowers. The antique etching style of the elements used here make this card a wonderful choice for fall and winter giving. Here's one more using a different color scheme:

The inside:

Sorry for the not so great picture; the cards have many depth levels and my camera was having a hard time knowing where to focus. These were not that hard to make; the kit comes pre-cut and all you really have to do is mix and match the embellishments in a way that pleases you. I'll be back this week with some Thanksgiving cards to share with you. I hope you enjoyed your visit, thanks for stopping over!

My Sheri Crafts Challenge-Tag, You're It!

Happy Halloween! I hope your day is frightful! It's also time for a new challenge over at My Sheri Crafts.
The theme this time is, Tag, You're It! We want to see a tag or a tag shape on your project! I've made a vintage style mixed media tag for you today.

I started my tag with a large manila tag from Ranger. I tea stained the tag by letting it soak in tea overnight. Once it dried, I layered it with some vintage sheet music and a doily that has been tea stained as well. I found this old photo of a very fashionable lady, and thought it would be neat to make a tag using textiles that I thought you might find on her hat and possibly her dress. Sort of a seamstress's sample card. So I found some ribbon, bits of lace and satin ribbon that I thought looked pretty together. I attached them to my tag with small dabs of hot glue. You could use fabric glue as well.
This tag would look nice anywhere you ant to add a sweet vintage touch.

I hope you'll join us over at My Sheri Crafts and link up your tag projects! Hope to see you there!
Thanks for stopping by and have a Happy Halloween!!

JustRite Papercraft October Release-Doodled Roses

Good morning and welcome to another inspiration filled day featuring JustRite Papercraft's October release! Today, we're introducing a cute whimsical stamp set called Doodled Roses. It has some fun, simple rose illustrations and super sweet sentiments.

I made this simple but cute card by using my Spectrum Aqua water based pens and coloring directly onto the stamp using pink and green. Any water based marker that you may have will work with this technique. I spritzed the stamp with water before I stamped it onto a water color paper panel. I should tell you that I did stamp my sentiment in black dye ink and let it dry thoroughly before I stamped the flowers. If you're short on time, you could use StazOn ink so it will dry instantly.  For the drip effect, I  filled my water brush, touched the marker tip with it, then flicked it on the paper. I just did it randomly, no rhyme or reason. After my paper was dry, I die cut it using a label die and adhered it to my card.

I'll be back on Tuesday, which is the final release day with a new card for you. See you then!

JustRite Papercraft October Release- Morning Splendor

Happy Saturday! Welcome to another day of JustRite Papercraft's October release. Today we are showcasing a sweet floral stamp set called Morning Splendor. There are some beautiful morning glory floral images here as well as some sentiments in a gorgeous script font.

I don't normally make shaped cards, but I wanted to show you the Art Nouveau Oval Tonic dies. They are large, this one is approximately 5x7 inches, but the set goes up to 6x8, which would work wonderfully if you like really large cards or would like to use them on a scrapbook page. I water colored my morning glories using various shades of purple, blue and pink.I think this would make a lovely wedding card.

I'll be back tomorrow with a new project for you from this release. Have a wonderful Saturday!

JustRite Papercraft October Release-Framed With Love And Wedding Inner Sentiments

Good morning and welcome to another day of inspiration from JustRite Papercraft!  I'm using the featured stamps from today PLUS the stamps featured yesterday, all on one card! They are super versatile because they can all be mixed and matched together. Today, we are showing you projects made with Framed With Love and Wedding Inner Sentiments.

I've created a rustic wedding card for you today. I picture this card being given for a fall wedding. It has a rustic shabby chic look that I love for Autumn card making. The main sentiment was made from yesterday's featured stamps, Grand Wedding Wishes. I've decorated the inside of the card with a sentiment from Wedding Inner Sentiments.

I've also stamped a border using the little bell image that is in the Framed With Love set. All of these sets combined make a very useful addition to your stamp collection for making wedding cards. If you would like to take a closer look at the stamps, all of the stamp names are linked and appear in pink. Just click that word to be taken to the JustRite store to check them out. The entire October release is shipping as well. Click here to see all of the new stamps.

Vintage Postcard Halloween Cards

Happy Wednesday! Fall is setting in on us here finally! The days are still warm, but the mornings and evenings are cool enough for a jacket,Yaaay! Can you tell I'm excited? :) Halloween continues to be one of my favorite holidays. I love to decorate the house with cute decorations and making Halloween cards!
I've recently begun collecting antique post cards again. I had a small collection many years ago, and they somehow went missing in a move across the country. I love the old graphics and the best part are the messages written on them! I love wondering about who they were and what their lives must have been like.
Today, I have two Halloween cards for you that include vintage postcard images. These are reproductions of postcards I've found online. I haven't been able to locate any real ones for my collection yet.

This one amuses me because it's a little weird! Who is that little pumpkin boy? He's cute, but a little strange! I've seen lots of old postcards with strange images on them. I assume they made sense back in the old days and we've simply lost context for them today. I still think the image is lovely, however. I used mainly My Mind's Eye papers from a few years ago. They used to be one of my all time favorite companies.

This is one of my favorite postcard images for Halloween. You've probably seen her everywhere! She reminds me of my daughter when she was small. I really like how this card turned out. Yes, some folks do send Halloween cards! Both of these were bought by a very sweet customer of mine and she loved them. I hope you're having fun this October making Halloween cards!

I'll be back on Friday with a new card for the JustRite Papercraft October release; I hope you'll join me!
Thanks for visiting!

This one's almost 100% pink! I tried, but some gold sneaked its way in! All of my supplies are by Anna Griffin. I'm having a blast using her gorgeous items!

Anna Griffin Endora Halloween Cards

Good morning everyone! October is finally here. I'm looking forward to this month because this is the time our Georgia heat finally tapers off and we can enjoy the outdoors without sweating so much! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I love the pumpkins, costumes, decorations and the candy! I've eaten my share of candy corn already!  My kids are too old to trick or treat, but we love hosting trick or treaters at our door and giving out candy Halloween night. I have some Halloween cards for you today. These were mostly made with Anna Griffin's Endora line.

First up is my favorite, a raven card. Love him! I had this in my Etsy shop. It sold recently and went to a new home.

This one is made with an old public domain photograph I found online. Love all the vintage witches! My favorite one is third from the right. She does not look as amused as the others!

Last but not least is one I made with a Found Relatives photo from Tim Holtz. Love the crepe paper flower and chevron ribbon!

I hope you enjoyed my cards today! Do you like making Halloween cards? Thanks for stopping over and have a wonderful day!

JustRite papercraft Christmas 2015 Release- Festive Grand Sentiments

Happy Sunday! I hope your weekend is going great. Welcome to the final day of the JustRite Papercraft Christmas release. Today we're presenting inspiration for the Festive Grand Sentiments stamp set. I've saved my favorite card for last!

I originally planned to make a card with the cute deer in this set,but once I saw the Joyeux Noel sentiment, I just had to make a French inspired Christmas card! This card has so much sparkle! Unfortunately, the camera has such a hard time capturing it all.:(  I also used the new background stamp called Grand Elegance. I embossed it in silver and cut away the outer design and mounted it onto shimmering silver card stock that has been layered over a blue floral panel. The base is baby blue card stock. I embossed the sentiment in silver onto a cream die cut piece. The star and Eiffel Tower are die cut from silver glittered card stock. I  also added some gorgeous blue silk ribbon to finish it off. Click here to get a glimpse of this stamp set in the JustRite store.

JustRite papercraft Christmas 2015 Release- Peace And Joy Sentiments

Good morning! Welcome to another day of the JustRite Papercraft Christmas release. We have a sweet set of sentiments to share with you today. Peace And Joy Sentiments is a collection of Christmas Sentiments in a cute font. There are sentiments that look nice on the outside of the card and there are some you can use for the inside as well.

I've stamped the outlined gifts repeatedly on a strip of white card stock and colored them with my Copic markers. I've made a card for you today but I can see these stamps be used for some really cute gift tags. I've kept the sentiment simple on the front and added another to the inside.

I decorated the inside with a panel of coordinating patterned paper and added the bigger sentiment to a die cut label that I've adhered to the inside. There's still plenty of room for you to sign it or add your own message.

Use the links below to see what the JustRite designers have for you today:

JustRite Papercraft Christmas 2015 Release- Christmas Handwritten Sentiments

Happy Friday and welcome to day 4 of the Christmas release from JustRite Papercraft. I hope you enjoyed the last few days of our inspirational projects. If you've picked up any of these stamps, I hope we're giving you some good ideas on how to use them. Today's featured stamps are Christmas Handwritten Sentiments. Hand written fonts are all rage lately, and this one does not disappoint. I love the little flourishes on the ends of the sentiments. There are also some cute little ornaments in this set.

My card is on the rustic side, with the aged looking paper and kraft base. I chose a simple layout, very easy to duplicate in case you would like to produce a large number for your holiday cards. I found the frosted berries in the Christmas floral aisle at my local Hobby Lobby. They were in a huge branch, so I just used my pliers to snip bits from it. I anchored them with hot glue, but you could use any strong glue to secure them.

If you'd like a look at the stamps, click here to see them in the JustRite store.

More inspiration awaits you at the links below:

I so appreciate you joining me today, I'll be back tomorrow and Sunday with more inspiration projects for you. Have a lovely day!

JustRite Papercraft Christmas 2015 Release-Multi Step Poinsettia

Good morning and welcome! If you haven't heard yet, JustRite Papercraft is back under new management! I am so glad to be a part of the Christmas Release. We're taking the next several days to introduce you to the Christmas Collection. Today's spotlight is on the Multi Step Poinsettia.

I love pink poinsettias best I think, they make me long for spring! I've used used a light pink ink for the petals and a darker ink for the veins. I stamped the centers in tan ink, accenting them with a gold Wink Of Stella pen to add a bit of sparkle. This card is all about sparkle I've used gold in just about all its forms! The photo does not do all of this justice, of course:( I've aso incorporated a new background stamp, Ornamental Cling into the card as one of the background layers. I've embossed it in gold onto a piece of pink card stock. Some gold silk ribbon and a glittered dot embellishment finish this card off nicely. Here's a peek at each stamp I've used today:
I hope you'll take some time to visit the other designers who have projects for you today.

Thanks for stopping by to see me, I'll be back on Friday with a new project, but the release will be continuing on tomorrow and Thursday. Make sure you check the JustRite blog daily so you won't miss anything! Have a wonderful day!

My Sheri Crafts Challenge-Thinking Of Fall

Happy Tuesday and welcome to my very late post for the new My Sheri Crafts Challenge! This time around we're thinking of fall and want to see your projects with a fall theme, specifically pumpkins and scarecrows. I have a fall tag to share with you today:

I'm really  enjoying all of the gorgeous mixed media tags I've been seeing lately. I've always had a fascination with old photos and the stories behind them. I was on Ebay recently and found a lot of old CDV photos. These are small photo cards that were made to give out to friends and family when you visited them. They are the perfect size for smaller cards and tags. This little girl's name is Inge, her name was written on the back. She looks like she's enjoying the outdoors during fall. I made this tag from a large manila tag and some vintage sheet music that I tea dyed. All I added was a few bits of lace some fabric leaves and some pretty seam binding. I think this makes a cute little fall decoration for your home.

I hope you'll join us over at My Sheri Crafts for this challenge. I can't wait to see what you make!

Thanks for stopping by!

Halloween Card-Good Little Witch

Happy September! Fall is almost here! I've been working like crazy to get some Fall and Halloween cards made for my Etsy shop. I'm sharing one of my favorites with you today!
Isn't she just the cutest? I made this card with a combination of Anna Griffin's Endora collection and a Tim Holtz Found Relatives reproduction vintage photograph. I have a small stash of silk fabric I purchased a while back to make my own rolled fabric flowers. I added a flower to the bottom on the photo and embellished it with a matching jeweled button. The word stickers are from Tim's Seasonal Chit Chat sticker pack. I love these little stickers for forming phrases and sentiments that have a slightly vintage look. The little witch hat is a metal brad from Martha Stewart Crafts. I'm pretty sure I bought them years ago. See what happens when you don't purge? You really may find a use for things eventually:)

Are you making fall and/or Halloween cards this year? Thanks for stopping over, I appreciate your visits and sweet comments! See you soon!

Joy Clair August Release-Thank You For Everything

Happy Sunday! I'm back today to introduce another stamp set from a brand new stamp company, Joy Clair. I've been asked to design some projects for their inaugural release and it's been an honor.

Today's featured set is named Thank You For Everything. Its a really sweet gratitude sentiment set mixed with some small design elements. I made a fall themed thank you card to show you.

I used the leaf stamp from the Hello Autumn set that was featured on the first day of the release. I really like the mixtures of the handwritten look fonts with the smaller add-on words. This is really an awesome set in that you can mix and match all the sentiments to come up with many different phrases.

Click here to have a look at it on the Joy Clair website.

Use the links below to see some other inspirational projects using this stamp set:

That's it for me for the very first Joy Clair release! Thanks for stopping over and I hope you've found some new stamps to add to your collection. Have a wonderful Sunday!

Joy Clair First Release,Day Three- Hugs And Smiles

Happy Wednesday and welcome to day three of the first ever release from Joy Clair. Today's featured stamps are a very cute modern set called Hugs And Smiles. Besides Hello Autumn, this may be my personal favorite of the entire release.

I am just in love with the current water color trend in stationery. I stamped my images onto water color paper with Black Memento Ink and allowed it to dry thoroughly. I used my Spectrum Aqua markers as my water coloring medium. I simply swiped the pen onto a clear stamp block and picked the color up with a water brush. After I finished coloring, I flicked the bristles of the water brush to make the droplets. I let it dry for several hours and then constructed my card. The sentiment tag was made by coloring a clear block with Spectrum Aqua markers them spritzing it with water and swiping it across a piece of water color paper. I let that dry for a while, then stamped the sentiment before I die cut it into a tag shape.

I then mounted the large panel onto a pink card base, added the sentiment tag with foam tape and then added a twine string bow finished off with a matching enamel dot. This would be a great card to make in multiples using different colors and switching up the sentiment to make a card set to give away as a gift.

More inspiration is waiting for you at the links below:

There's also a giveaway on the Joy Clair blog each day of the release for that day's featured stamps. Make sure to hop over to the Joy Clair blog for all the details.

Joy Clair Inaugural Release Day Two-Bandana Bits

Good morning and welcome to the second day of the release from a brand new stamp company, Joy Clair! I hope you liked the Autumn set we previewed for you yesterday. Today we have a set that is a bit different, Bandana Bits. its a cute bandana inspired set. Instead of the usual country feeling you might expect, I've used the paisley in a different way on my card for you today.

I've used the large paisley to create a background. For some reason, paisley reminds me of peacocks, maybe the feathers look like them or maybe I see them together in other designs.Who knows really?!
Anyway, I had this peacock pendant I scrounged from a necklace my daughter didn't want any longer and thought it would be perfect for a card. What a great way to upcycle something that may have ended up at the landfill!

If you want to get a look at the stamp set, click over to the Joy Clair store by clicking here.
Check out the rest of the guest designers and see what they have for you today:

Joy Clair Inaugural Release- Hello Autumn

Happy Monday! I'm very excited to be a part of the very first release of a brand new stamp brand, Joy Clair! You may have seen a few sneak peeks  that have been going on around the last couple of weeks, but now it's time to kick of the official release at last.

First up is a really pretty set for fall, Hello Autumn. My favorite season and my absolute favorite cards to make!
Here is a lovely fall card I created:

I have some old pages from a French book I purchased a while back. The color and patina the pages have are just wonderful. The paper is a bit brittle, so when you tear the edges, it looks wonderful and vintage. I  stamped the leaves over the text to make a nice background. The ink really soaked into the paper and gave it a soft shabby look. I layered the book page over a blue background paper on an inked kraft card base. After that, the card was simple to put together. I just added some lace, rust colored seam binding and some fabric leaves from my stash. I stamped Happy Fall onto a canvas tag and hung it with some blue jute twine. An aged brass button provides just the right finishing touch.

Use the links below to visit the other guest designers. First up is the Joy Clair blog.

There is also a giveaway going on to celebrate Joy Clair's grand opening. Make sure to visit the Joy Clair blog and see how you can win this beautiful stamp set!

This is a very full release and we have wonderful things to show you this week. I hope you'll return tomorrow, I have another project for you! Have an awesome day and thank you for visiting!♥

My Sheri Crafts Challenge- Long Time No See

Happy Saturday! It's time for a new challenge at My Sheri Crafts. This time, the theme is ''Long Time No See". Show us your projects that feature a miss you or thinking of you theme. Here's my card for you.
In an earlier post, I promised to show you some cards made with Anna Griffin's Flower Pot Decoupage Die Cuts. The roses in this collection are just gorgeous as you can see! I love the sweet rich vintage look that they have. I just love beautiful flower arrangements, but my kitties tend to munch on them when we buy fresh flowers, so paper bouquets will have to suffice for the duration. Here's another card using the die cuts:
I love the purple and green together! How could these lovely flowers not make you feel better?:)

I hope you'll join us for the challenge at My Sheri Crafts. You have two weeks to play, so there's plenty of tie to link up your projects. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

Vintage Style Gift Tag

Happy Wednesday! I hope your week is going great! School let in this week in my area, so it feels like the summer is officially winding down. I am anxiously awaiting the fall!

Today I'm sharing a gift tag with you. I love how it turned out!

A few years ago I purchased some Spellbinders Grand dies. These are Labels Twenty. I don't really use them that much because they are so huge, but I had an idea. Instead of making a greeting card, how about a greeting tag? You could use a very large tag to decorate a gift box or bag and it would become part of the gift or BE the gift. I've made this tag with a chipboard base in order for it to be sturdy and last as a piece of home decor. I have quite a collection of trims and embellishments that would be too heavy for a card so this is a perfect way to use them. I'm also excited that these tags can be made with either purchased chipboard or recycled chipboard from around the house. Since I no longer scrapbook traditionally, I can try to use all of the 12x12 paper that I have accumulated over the years.

Here's a look at the reverse side:
I've added a smaller label in the same shape so a message can be written to the recipient. The possibilities are endless, these don't have to fit into an envelope so you could embellish them any way you choose. I'm all for coming up with ways to use what you have in your stash instead of it sitting for years and years and then end up donated or recycled.

She's a cutie, isn't she? Thanks for stopping by today, enjoy the rest of your week!

My Sheri Crafts Challenge- Home Decor

Happy Saturday! It's time for a new challenge over at My Sheri Crafts! This time we want to see your home decor! No cards this time around! Well, I'm such a prolific card maker that of course was hard for me.  In the days before I blogged, I  dabbled in collage and altered items. When I decided to concentrate on cards, it took a back seat. Lately, I've been admiring vintage style mixed media collages. My interest in them is resurfacing and I've been going back into my attic to retrieve my fabrics, laces and trims that were stored away many years ago. I decided to try my hand at a vintage style mixed media wall hanging.

I think this old photograph of the Eiffel Tower makes a great subject! I found this photo online for free use and printed it out on card stock. I used my old shape scissors to give it a deckled edge. I started with a piece of chipboard and covered it with patterned papers.  I have so many large fabric flowers in my stash that were too big for cards and were languishing in my craft room. I can finally put them to use! With the exception of he photograph, everything I used on this piece was already in my craft stash. I used hot glue to attach everything except the metal piece that says 'cherish'. I used some E-6000 to make sure it would stay on.

This collage would look great just about anywhere in your home, an armoire, china cabinet, closet doors or used as a large gift tag attached to a bag or package.

I hope you'll join us for this wonderful challenge, I can't wait to see what you create! Thank you for stopping by today, have a lovely weekend!

Paper Sweeties Is Turning Three!

Happy Saturday! August is a very special month. It's Paper Sweeties' Third Birthday! Debbie has graciously asked me to join in for this month's Paper Sweeties challenge and birthday celebration!
This month's challenge inspiration board is just the cutest! Here's a peek:

I have two cards to share with you today; I couldn't stop at just one!

First up is a very cute birthday card. The cute little cupcake is from one of my all-time favorite Paper Sweeties stamp sets, Sending Sweet Thoughts. The sentiment is from the Happy set. The die cut word is from the Happy Sweet Cuts die set. I've also added some seam binding in Mint and  Sugar Sprinkles for a sweet shabby chic look.

My second  is a birthday card made with them same papers and the Happy stamp set and Sweet Cuts die set. I've stamped and die cut some cute roses and leaves using the Party Time stamps and coordinating Sweet Cuts die sets. I stamped the flowers onto the patterned papers used in the rest of the card for a soft look.  This card is a bit fancier than the first with the addition of a little lace trim along the left side and lots of pearls!.

To Join in on the fun, all you have to do is CREATE a NEW project based on the current inspiration board using any of your favorite crafty supplies — receive an EXTRA VOTE if you use something from Paper Sweeties such as a stamp, die or embellishment!  If you don’t have any stamps from Paper Sweeties yet, we have some complimentary digital images for you to try out!  Use this month’s board as a starting point for your project — be inspired by one or more of the colors, shapes, theme — anything goes!
Our challenge will run for the entire month. You can play along as many times as you wish — the more times you play, the more chances you have to win! The challenges will end at 12 pm EST on the last day of each month.

I hope you'll join us for this month's challenge and keep checking back at Paper Sweeties during the month of August for more birthday fun. See you there!

Cottage Rose Birthday Card

Happy Wednesday, Friends! I have a card to share with you today. I made this for my dear Mother In Law for her birthday last week. She's like me, she loves pink and lots of flowers!

The photo is not as good as it could have been, I was in a hurry to photograph it and my camera settings were incorrect.  This is the kind of card I love making, lush with flowers and die cuts! Pink and green is one of my all time favorite card color combinations. How about those lovely patterned papers? They are so yummy and shabby chic. By the way, my MIL was thrilled with this one!  If you want to know the particular items I used, scroll down for a complete supply list. Here's a close up:
