Happy Father's Day Card

Hi readers! Today's card is one I made for  Father's Day. My daughter is going to give it to her grandfather today. I don't normally do masculine cards because I love girly things too much! I used this week's Card Patterns Sketch.
I used a patriotic theme because I think it lends itself to a masculine look.
Supplies used for this card:
Patterned papers- Authentique Glory collection
Kraft stock-Recollections
Scalloped border die-Taylored Expressions
Star die cuts- Cricut (A Child's Year cartridge)
Star embossing folder-Provocraft
Computer generated sentiment (Bradley Hand font)
Twine-my stash

Have a great Sunday and Happy Father's Day!

Thinking Of You Today

Happy Friday Friends! I'm sharing a card today I made for this week's Mojo Monday Sketch.
I followed the sketch pretty closely this time around: it's a great sketch and one I will use again I'm sure. This card is made from Melissa Frances products almost exclusively. The patterned papers and sentiment die cut are from Attic Treasures.I actually made the rolled rose from some silk fabric. The burlap is My Mind's Eye and the die cut circles are from Spellbinders.
I hope you  enjoyed my creation and remember, you can email me any questions by clicking on my Blogger profile. Have a wonderful weekend!

Steam Punk Kitty Card

Hi readers! It's a dreary Sunday afternoon,  so I decided to while it away in the craft room. I made this card for two new to me challenges: Retro Sketch Challenge and Frilly And Funkie. This card is so far out of my comfort zone that I feel like I landed on Mars! It was fun distressing and inking.

The stamp is a new release from Stampendous and I couldn't resist him! All patterned papers are from Glitz Design's French Kiss collection. Ribbon and lace from The ribbon reel. Distress Inks, metal gears and Stickers are from Tim Holtz. Flower, twine and kraft paper from my stash. Die cut is Labels One by Spellbinders.

I hope you like today's card! Thanks for peeking and have a great Sunday night!

Happy Everything Card

Good evening my friends! I hope my posting finds you well on this Saturday. I am here to share a card I made for the Case Study Challenge 94. I haven't played in a long time and the inspiration card really caught my eye.
Here is the inspiration card-

Of course I had to shabby it up a little bit! I used my new My Mind's Eye Be Happy Collection paper for this card. I adore almost everything MME releases. I found these chipboard butterflies at Micheal's in the dollar bin. I also got some flowers and birds,so you will probably be seeing these soon! I painted the butterfly with Liquid Pearls from Ranger and wiped off the high points to accentuate the embossing.
The seam binding and pins are from my stash and the jewel is from Webster's Pages.

Thanks for stopping by to visit!

Best Things In Life Card

Hi  to all of my blog friends! I know I have been absent for a while, I seem to be in a "nesting" mode after the new year and have been tackling a lot of projects around the house. If you notice my previous post, I redid my daughter's room and also completely redesigned and purged my craft room. It is almost camera ready and I hope to do a  room tour here very soon.
My card making is a little rusty, So I am starting out with a card I created for the Card Patterns Sketch 168. Here is my take on the sketch:
