I Love You....Repurposing a Christmas Paper

Happy Thursday everyone! This week has flown by and I'm almost late posting a card I made for the My Mind's Eye August Challenge. My Mind's Eye is definitely one of my favorite companies and the All Is Bright Christmas line is just stunning! The goal of the challenge is to take a themed paper and re-purpose it into a theme other than what it is intended.
This piece of paper is my favorite, The little bird is sitting on some elements that spell out "JOY". I used an embellishment cluster obscure it and added a little red rose behind the bird to hide his  flag that says "merry".

Supply List-
Card Stock-(Kraft) Recollections
Patterned Paper,Chipboard Banner,Scalloped Chipboard Border - My Mind's Eye
Word Stickers- Tim Holtz
Bling- Recollections
White Sculpted Embellishment-Pink Paislee

Have a great day and thanks for visiting!

Thinking Of You... Cameo Resist

Good evening everyone! It's late but I have a card to share before I retire for the night. I made this for the Frilly And Funkie Challenge. Our challenge is to use a resist stamping technique on our creation. I decided to use a cameo and frame for mine. I stamped and embossed the image with clear embossing powder. I then took Black Soot Distress Ink and rubbed it on the paper, allowing it to dry and rubbing some off the image.

I found this cool paper at Hobby Lobby by Heidi Swapp. It is white with a pattern resist, so you can ink it any color and have a patterned paper to match. How cool!

A Happy Hello..

Hi sweet readers! I'm back at it again, I've been busy crafting today in between laundry loads and made a card for this week's Shabby Tea Room Challenge. This week's challenge is to use all neutrals.
I admit, it's a bit heavy on the front, but I love  layers! I know, I need help! LOL

I found some kraft colored tissue at Target recently and used it for the flower. I folded a long rectangle several times  and ran it through the die machine with a Spellbinder Dahlia die. I used a tiny brad to hold the center and scrunched each layer until I was happy with it.

 Pearl Embellishment- Maya Road
