It's All Good!

The New Year is almost here can you believe it? Where did 2012 go? I'm finishing up this year with a card for the Tuesday Trigger over at Moxie Fab World. I love the inspiration picture and knew I had some Studio Calico paper that would work perfectly.

Here is the gorgeous inspiration picture:
I know this card is clean and simple for me! I love the colors and the trellis pattern in the rug and used a similar embossing folder to get the look.

Winter Wonder

Good evening! I hope your holiday was wonderful and Santa brought you everything you asked for! We are settling down here at my house, eating up the leftovers and having Mario Kart battles on the Wii.

I've been organizing a little in my craft room and finally sat down to make a card. I combined two challenges for this one; Papercraft Star and Retro Sketches.
I started out with the intention of using only white, cream and blue. BUT you know how it goes sometimes and red senaked it's way in. I used one of my favorite Penny Black stamps as the focal image. I wish I could color better!
Papercraft Star's challenge this week is to have snow on your creation. Here is the sketch from Retro Sketches:

Season Of Joy

Whew! Finally, all of the gifts are wrapped, shopping done, and decorations hung. It was a lot of effort, but we are ready to sit back and enjoy the holidays. I hope you are enjoying the season and are ready for Santa's visit!
Today I'm showing you a card made for this week's Mojo Monday. I've really been enjoying the All Is Bright line from My Mind's Eye this year!
Here's the sketch:
I sorta kinda followed it! The base of the center embellishment is a small wooden laser cut frame from Michaels. They can be found in the Christmas craft section for about a dollar each. I stained it with some alcohol ink and sprayed it with some glimmer mist to add a little sparkle. A bonus for this card is that it can be turned into an ornament by separating it from the actual card back.

Patterned Paper and Chipboard Sentiments-My Mind's Eye
Tulle Ribbon Trim,Blue Pom Pom Trim-Melissa Frances
Pearl Snowflake-Hobby Lobby
Cream Embossed Swirl-Pink Paislee
