Happy Birthday...A Little Bird Told Me

Happy Thursday!  I've been playing catch up this week around the house. My washing machine broke down and we decided to replace it. After having *2* brand new, out of the box washing machines delivered and *both* of them NOT work, the third one is working like a charm and chugging away! We switched brands for the third one and I'll never buy any appliance made by the maker of the first two!

Onward and upward, I recently purchased some Secret Garden paper by Graphic 45. Oh, what a beautiful line! I've used it here in my card.

I used this week's Mojo Monday sketch and The Shabby Tea Room's inspiration picture.

cardstock-Papertrey Ink (rustic cream)
patterned papers-Graphic45 (Secret Garden)
edger punch-Martha Stewart Crafts
seam binding-Hug Snug
twine-my stash
brown pearls-Recollections

Thanks for stopping by today, your visit means so much to me!

  1. Gorgeous card! I love how you layer your cards. I also love the flowers you grouped together. Graphic45 & Webster in my opinion make some of the prettiest paper.

  2. Fabulous. Beautiful. Happy. Perfect as always. Love it.

I always thought Bird Song by G-45 was my favorite paper but since Secret Garden was released, it has tied for first place. Such lovely paper and you really made a stunning card with it. This card will convince others to buy Secret should request a percentage of sales from G-45! :)

    Enjoy your new washing machine!

  3. Your cards get better each day...just when I think you've outdone yourself and can't possibly top do something like today's card. WOW--gorgeous!

  4. Kristi, what can I say but stunning! The papers are beautiful and the arrangement is just gorgeous! Thanks so much for sharing this beauty at The Shabby Tea Room this week! Love it!

  5. Gorgeous!! Love all the layers....such a pretty G45 set. And I can't wait to get the new Bohemian Bazaar one too.

  6. I declare you The Layer Queen - this is EXQUISITE! The layers and patterns, the trims, those divine FLOWERS...this card is out-of-the-park GORGEOUS!! I could just sit and look at it for hours. Congrats on finally getting a washing machine that works. If the first two are the same brand as my horrible almost new dishwasher, I don't blame you for switching. My dishwasher is the last appliance from the manufacturer that I'd been using for 25+ years - no more! I'd rather switch than fight! Anyhoo, thanks for some awesome inspiration - I'm going to start looking for G45 papers ASAP, especially Secret Garden!

  7. So so beautiful Kristi! I love technology when it works and when it doesn't grrrrrr! Ii hope that nothing else beaks down. Have a lovely weekend!!

  8. Just beautiful! Lots of yumminess going on!!!

  9. Kristi, another scrumptiously layered creation of loveliness. Your sense of cohesion is spot on. WOW!

  10. SO beautiful, Kristi! I love these colors and your layering is perfect...and you know how much I love that rose cluster! :)

Our 13 year old Maytag Neptune just had its *first* service call a few months ago, and we were told the new machines don't begin to rival the reliability of the ones we have...yikes...guess this is a case where the first few versions outdo its successors. I'm so afraid next time it will just die of old age and we'll be stuck going through what you just went through. :(

  11. Oh Kristi this is just so soft and beautiful. I also have this paper pad and it is soooooo strokably beautiful :) Your layers, luscious bow and blooms are the perfect opulent accompaniment to it - just lovely x Thanks for the kind comment you left on my log xx

  12. Wow, this is beautiful...I have this paper and haven't had it out for awhile, you make me want to get it out right now!!! Gorgeous flowers and lovely layers!! Wow, you sure have had a nightmare with your washing machine!! Mine is about 25 years old and still "chugging" scares me to think of having to get a new one...just the price alone....well, good luck with the new one!!

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment, I appreciate each one!
