JustRite August Release-Holly Frame Background

Good morning and welcome to another day of the August release from JustRite Papercraft. We have a bit more Christmas  cheer to spread today as we feature two new background stamps, Christmas Holly Stripes and Holly Frame. My project  features the Holly Frame stamp.
I started this card by creating a 5x7 inch card base from card stock and adding two coordinating patterned papers that meet in the middle. I then stamped my background stamp onto vellum with white ink and embossed it with white embossing powder. I used a Classic Oval Spellbinder die to cut out the center and create a window. Since most adhesives can bee seen through vellum, I attached it to a red card stock piece with brads at each corner. I backed the window with patterned paper and layered it onto the card base with foam tape. I die cut two borders from red and green card stock using an A2 Scalloped Borders die. I layered them together, then attached them  just underneath my vellum/card stock panel. I then added a piece of scalloped lace on the top of the paper scallops.Using Vintage Christmas Ornaments(July release), I stamped a small ornament on mint green card stock and embossed it in white. I die cut it with the matching die from 2012 Heirloom Ornaments and adhered it to the center of the oval frame with foam dots. I finished the card by embellishing the rest as shown and stamping a sentiment from the Festive Poinsettias stamp set (July release). and attaching it to the ribbon  with red and white twine.

The dies are custom Spellbinder dies Filigree Corners and the stamps are named Looking For A Sign.

I used the largest  Filigree Corner die and made a little pocket for my butterflies to break free. I attached it at the corners with hot glue, gently tucked a bit of tulle in the pocket and the used a bit more hot glue to attach the top center to my card front.  The sentiment was stamped from Looking For A Sign and die cut with the banner die from Vintage Labels and Banners custom JustRite die set.

JustRite Papercraft August Release

Happy Sunday! Welcome to the August release at JustRite stamps! We have some very exciting and beautiful stamps to show you over the next few days. I hope you'll love them as much as I do. Today's featured stamp is really not a stamp, but a new Spellbinder die set from Becca Feeken at Amazing Paper Grace. The set is called Lacey Tiers.

I chose to emboss the medallion die onto my card stock instead of cutting it out. I just spritzed my paper with a little water to loosen up the fibers, and ran it through my Grand Calibur using the tan embossing mat and plate instead of the cutting plate. I used my copic markers to highlight some of the flower pattern.

The sentiment is from the Large Elegant Sentiment set. It will be featured later in the week.

Have A Lovely Day- The Shabby Tea Room #176

Happy Monday! It's time once again for a new challenge at The Shabby Tea Room.  I'm  continuing  as the month long guest designer. The theme this week is 'Fresh Summer Breeze'.  Create card or project using white, aqua, soft pink & add lace and a flower.

Here is an inspiration picture to get you started.
I started this card with a white A2 card base. I trimmed a blue embossed card stock panel, and adhere it with foam tape. Using a die from Antique Labels Four, I die cut a label from patterned paper and adhered it to the upper half of card with foam dots. I stamped the sentiment from Birthday Vintage Labels Four in gray ink and die cut it with the smallest oval die from Antique Labels Four dies and layered it on a pink oval from die cut from the same set. Using a die from A2 Scalloped Borders One, I die cut a border from pink card stock and adhered to the bottom third of the card. I then layered the white lace trim right above it and then added the pom pom trim. I adhered a seam binding bow to the corner of the label die cut and added a flower to the center of the bow.

Love Life

Good morning! I think the rain has left us for now, today is a lovely, sunny summer day! It's a so depressing having so much rain and gloomy weather, it begins to take it's toll. I've been cheering myself up in the craft room these few days, so it hasn't been a total loss! Here is the result of some of the time I spent there:
I used some Webster's pages paper that I've had for a while, Park Avenue Collection. The peach trim is from a package of trim I received in a Webster's warehouse box I recently purchased. Well worth it and packed with gorgeous goodies! I used this week's Retrosketch as my inspiration for the layout. It drew me in with it's simplicity.

Happy Birthday

Happy Sunday! I hope this post finds you well and having an awesome weekend. We're dodging rain again today. It's been so rainy and horrible this summer! I guess I shouldn't complain:our garden is looking beautiful!
Today, I'm sharing a birthday card I made for my Mother In Law.
One of her favorite colors is yellow, so I incorporated it into the color scheme. It's not my favorite color to work with, really. I don't know why I dislike yellow,  I prefer dark gold and mustard shades.  I used the sketch from this week's Mojo Monday sketch:
card stock-Papertrey Ink
patterned papers-Authentique (Be (you) tiful collection)
            butterflies-Glitz Design
large yellow sunburst sequin-my stash
velvet button-Jolee's
seam binding-Hug Snug
twine-Americacn Crafts
label die-Spellbinders

I would like to take a moment and thank everyone for their recent visits and sweet comments! It's been a busy week here! I like to respond to your comments personally by email, but some of you are "no reply bloggers" meaning,  you have not chosen to link an email to your Blogger account. If that's by design, no worries, but I would like you to know that I read every comment and am honored and flattered by them!
If you would like to link an email to Blogger, I found a tutorial here that explains it very clearly.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by to visit!

JustRite Christmas Release Day Six-Christmas Labels Twenty

♥♥♥******If you've arrived here from the Where Bloggers Create link party, please click here********♥♥♥

Good morning and welcome to the final day of the JustRite Stamps Christmas/July release! We are featuring two gorgeous sets, Christmas Labels Twenty and  Christmas Gifts Vintage Labels Two. The  tag I'm showing you today was made with Christmas Labels Twenty.

Christmas Labels Twenty is designed to be used with Spellbinders Labels 20.
I started my tag by cutting a thin piece of chipboard with the largest die from Labels 20.The chipboard provides a sturdy base. I cut a piece of patterned paper with the same die and glued it to the chipboard piece. Using a Parisian Motifs die, I cut the large doily from burgundy patterned paper and adhere it to the base with foam tape. I stamped the label image from Christmas Labels Twenty with Olive Distress Ink and accented it with a red marker, die cut it with Labels 20, and attached it to the tag using foam tape. Then, I added the green ruffle ribbon underneath. I cut a doily from Ironwork Accents and adhered.I stamps the large sentiment from Christmas Labels Twenty with Olive Distress ink,die cut with the matching die and adhered to the tag.I added ribbon and twine to the top of the tag. I die cut a poinsettia (using Layered Poinsettia dies) from gold glitter paper and adhered to the top.  I rolled a flower from the green ruffled ribbon and attached it to the center of the poinsettia .Then I added jewels as shown.

Here is a peek at the other set we're featuring today, Christmas Gifts Vintage Labels Two:

Go see what the rest of the design team has made for you with these lovely sets!

I sincerely hope that you've enjoyed our release this week and have inspired you to get a start on those Christmas projects early this year! It has been a blast! Thanks for coming along with us!

Happy Friday! We're humming along this week showing you all of the great stamps that JustRite Papercraft has released this month.  The stamp I'm featuring today is the Christmas Cardinal Background stamp.

I went a little shabby chic with a pink, blue and cream color scheme. I colored this cute little guy with a combination of Copic and Distress markers. I traced the beautiful scroll work on this image with my silver glitter Stickles to add some sparkle. The sentiment is from the previously featured set, Festive Poinsettias. I also stamped and die cut a small poinsettia from this set to add to my silk ribbon bow.

Here are the dies I used:

Where Bloggers Create 2013 Blog Party

Hi everyone! It's time again to share our creative spaces with a huge link party sponsored by Karen Valentine at My Desert Cottage. I would like to thank Karen for making this opportunity for us to share  with everyone!

Where Bloggers Create
I participated last year and my space has changed a lot since then. I am constantly rearranging my room to accommodate the way I craft and any new ideas that spring into my mind! We'll start the tour of my craft room from the hallway looking in:
This is a spare bedroom on the main floor of my home. I left a bed in here for my daughter for when she has sleepovers. The girls usually spill over in here and use the bed instead of sleeping on the floor. It will eventually go, but it's ok for me right now.
Here is the view of my desk. It's made up of 8 Jetmax cubes with a melamine shelf top and a piece of plexiglass cut to fit the top. My daughter likes to sit across from me and do her homework while I make cards. I used to have a small dining room table as my worktop, but this has drawers down each side and I can store all of my supplies close at hand.

Here is the side view.

I think every crafter I know has one of these! They are just so darn handy! This is where I store my adhesive gun, other adhesives, scissors and other miscellaneous tools that I need often.

All of my markers and washi tapes.........
This embellishment shelf rests on my desktop against the wall and holds jars of small embellishments that would get lost in the desk drawers. I really should hang it up!
I found this dress form jewelry holder at Marshall's and thought it would be the cutest pin cushion.
My ink pad organizers hang on the wall immediately to my right, very convenient! Each of my embossing folders has a sample that I've hung on the left, I can see the patterns easily and it helps me choose just the right one for a card.
These shelves are directly above my desk and hold supplies that are needed often so I don't have to leave my chair.

The next several pictures are showing what's in the drawers on my side of the desk.

This set of cubes are directly behind me,I removed my chair so you can see it better. I keep my card stock scraps, laptop computer and Silhouette Portrait die cut machine here.

Here is a sampling of what I keep here:

Here is where I keep my sewing machine. It's the first time  I've been able to keep it out in the open. I don't really sew too much, although I do sew on my cards quite often. The wall above just has a collage of art that I've made, collected or was given to me by friends. I add to it as I bring things home.
The little burlap curtain is hiding the ugly outlet and the sewing machine cords.
 thread and bobbin storage
A closer look above the sewing machine.
In front of the windows is a dining table I bought at Ikea. I use it as a die cut table and all purpose table to spread my supplies out as I'm working. It also has room for friends to come over and stamp!
Next to the table is a stamp tower where I store all of my wood mounted stamps. I have them sorted by subject matter.
Below, a closer look:
Here is my storage closet. I use it for additional craft supplies that aren't used all of the time.
I took out the clothing bar and added a pantry shelf kit by Rubbermaid. This closet is packed!!!
Yes it is!!!
I hope you enjoyed looking at my little space! I feel blessed to have it and I love spending time here!

Thanks for coming to visit!!!
