JustRite Papercraft April Release- Introducing Grand Handwriten Sentiments And Burlap Chevron Background Stamps

Happy Tuesday! It's time for the new release from JustRite Papercraft! April's release is full of fun sets that will be great additions to your stamp stash. First up today is Grand Handwritten Sentiments and Burlap Chevron Background. I've combined them both on my card today.

I originally set out to make a masculine card with the background, but it totally fell by the wayside when I found this floral paper in my stash. I stamped the background in brown ink on kraft colored card stock. I cut away one of the solid sections in order to open it up and allow it to fit on my 5x7 card base. I prepared the base by adhering the floral patterned paper first, then adding the two chevron pieces with some foam tape. I stamped the sentiment then die cut it into a tag. I added some twine to the tag and tied it into a bow, then adhered it to the card. Finally I added a mint green seam binding bow, a kraft paper flower and a decorative brad. All patterned papers ,enamel dots and the decorative brad is from the My Mind's Eye Market Street Collection. Mint seam binding and twine is from  my stash and the kraft flower is from Recollections.

Here's a look at the products;

Retro Vintage Easter Cards

Happy Saturday! I hope your week was great! As I promised earlier, I'm back today with a couple of Easter cards. I found some sweet retro Easter card images online and just could not resist using them on some cards this year. The images look to be from the 1950's and are a little on the kitschy side, but I think they're sweet.
How cute is she? I just happened to have some Authentique papers that matched exactly. I added a sweet polka dot bow from Webster's Pages, some white seam binding, linen twine and paper flowers. Not much embellishment was needed because I wanted the image to be the main focus. All of the die cuts are from Spellbinders. The sentiment is from a stamp set I won from Mark's Finest Papers a few years ago. I can't find it on their website any longer. Too bad because I really love the font.

Next up is a  card made with  a similar image , just a pink color scheme.

All of the papers are from My Mind's Eye's Kate& Co collection. This card is sized at 5x7 inches, so definitely more embellishments were needed! All of the trims and ribbons are from my stash, the buttons are from Papertrey Ink and I don't remember who made the resin flowers. (sorry!) I think this one is just so cute and bold!

Thanks for stopping over today, I hope you enjoyed your visit! I hope you'll join me starting on Tuesday, the new release from JustRite Papercraft starts then. Have a great weekend!

On Your Wedding Day-Shabby Chic Wedding Card

Good morning! I hope you've had a wonderful week! Spring break is here and I've been spending some quality time with my daughter.  We've been shopping, having lunch together and she is getting a much needed break from her very demanding school curriculum. It's been cool and rainy lately, but the grass is greening up and flowers are blooming!
I am sharing a card today that is  my usual shabby chic style. Wedding season is almost here,so I need to get some completed for my shop and also for weddings I'm attending this spring.
I purchased the bird and rose panel from an Etsy shop I found while surfing around. It's a digital file that I printed out on card stock at home. All of the other papers are from Maja Design's Vintage Summer Basics paper pad. The die cut wreath is Cascadia Wreath from Memory Box. I added some ribbon, lace, flowers, pink pearls and a pearl heart shaped button from my stash. The sentiment is from  JustRite Papercraft. I really like the contrast the birds have with all of the softer colored elements. I hope you like it too!
Thanks for stopping by. I'll be back in a few days, I have some Easter cards to show you. Have a wonderful day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Good morning and Happy St Patty's Day to you! I didn't want the day to pass without sharing some cheer with you! I made a clean simple card for you today:
Since gold is so hot now and is totally appropriate for St Patrick's day, I pulled out some mirrored gold card stock. Unfortunately is doesn't photograph well! I used some cut files on my Silhouette and cut the shamrock and sentiment. I also used some gold thread around the perimeter of the paper, too bad it doesn't show up very well either, boo. I also used it to stitch the shamrocks together. It's really stunning in person!

That's all for today, I have to dash off for an appointment. I hope you have a lucky day! See you soon!♥♣

Anna Griffin Grace Collection Cards

Happy Saturday! I hope this post finds you warm and doing well on this lovely weekend. I'm so excited to say that spring has sprung here. My perennials are beginning to wake up and sprout in the garden and we're being visited by so many birds. I suppose some of them are stopping over for a while on their way back up north. I have two large feeders and they are being emptied out fast! My cats just sit in the windows all day watching them!

Today I have two cards to share with you. It's no secret that I am an Anna Griffin fan. Her timeless and beautiful crafting products appeal to my feminine side. These are made mostly with her Grace collection. It's a beautiful collection with the brightly colored florals and embellishments.
First up is a floral birthday card with a seamstress theme. The black floral paper you see is my absolute favorite from the collection. I added some May Arts pink silk ribbon and a brass charm I found in my stash.

This one also features that gorgeous floral paper! My background is actually done in a faux letterpress technique. I inked the raised side of an embossing folder and ran it through my Boss 'N' Cut with a piece of pink card stock. The ink was pushed down into the design while the rest was left the original color. I also incorporated a pleated paper piece from one of Anna's card kits (All About Her), some tulle trim from Webster's Pages and some black seam binding. The gold heart embellishment is from Teresa Collins' Studio Gold line. I love the sentiment on this one; it can be used for a wedding, Valentine, anniversary or just because.

I hope you enjoyed your visit today! Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Botanical Collaged Cards

Happy Wednesday everyone! Finally we're getting some milder temperatures here in Georgia. Hopefully winter has packed up and moved on for now. With spring soon on us and in our minds, I've been looking through my paper collection recently attempting to find some long neglected papers to use for some cards. I tend to forget what I have if I don't look at them at least once in a while. I came across a paper pad and matching die cut pack called Curiosity by Kaisercraft. Here are two cards I put together.

There was this really cool die cut of a flower under a cloche that I thought was just so beautiful! It is really large so the card is a 5x7 incher. I've been reading up on the 'rule of thirds' in design and attempted to consciously put it in play. If you're not familiar with the concept of thirds in design, a good YouTube video can be seen here. In the video it is explained by a photographer concerning photos, but the same principle applies to cards or anything that requires composition.

Here's another one as well:
This one also follows the rule of thirds, more or less! Rules are made to be broken sometimes! Just out of curiosity, I went back and looked at a lot of my cards to see how they stacked up the the rule. I noticed that my most successful and pleasing cards actually did follow it. I was using the rule without realizing it. The eye likes what the eye likes, so next time you're working on a card and it isn't coming together, think of the rule of thirds an try applying it to your project and see if it works for you.

Thanks for stopping by today and reading my ramblings! Have a great day, I'll see you again soon!♥

Stacking Sentiments Clear Stamps-JustRite Papercraft March Release

Good morning and welcome to day three of the March release from JustRite Papercraft. Today we're introducing a cool new sentiment set called Stacking Sentiments. They consist of bold typography and a mix and match feature. Some of them can be used alone or in conjunction with other sentiments in the set.

I've used three of them together to get a subway art effect using the chalkboard technique. I've taken more of a cute approach today, but they can be used on masculine cards and projects. As a matter of fact, there is a Father's Day sentiment included as well. Here's a look at them:
There is also a matching SVG digital cut file in case you would like to cut them out.

There is also a tip sheet you can download at the JustRite website with some pointers on how to combine these and information on how to use them in tandem with today's other featured background stamp, A2 Upcycled Woodgrain Frame. Click HERE to go to the tip sheet download.

There a new sale over at JustRite! See the graphic below for the details!

Thanks for visiting today. Tomorrow is the last day of the release, I hope you'll join us!

Introducing Coffee House Clear Stamps-JustRite Papercraft March Release

Happy humpday and welcome to the second day of the March release from JustRite Papercraft. Today's featured stamps are near and dear to my heart, Coffee House. I love my morning coffee (*and my afternoon coffee and my evening coffee*) and so do lots of my family and friends so this set will be in heavy rotation.

I was feeling very shabby chic the day I made this card. I know it's not your typical coffee card, but I couldn't resist! I have some more cards planned with this set and I'll share them later in the month. My coffee cup is very lady like with it's gorgeous blue floral paper. I paper pieced it by stamping it once on the patterned paper and once on white card stock. I colored the coffee and the spoon with my Spectrum Noir markers, snipped them out and glued them to the other one. I just fussy cut the coffee cup and added it to my card, then stamped the steam on the background. I love the sentiments and fonts in this set! Here's a peek:
Look at all of those wonderful images! I have so many ideas swirling around in my head. I just need some coffee to get me going.............

Visit the JustRite designers and see what they've brewed up for you *haha*

Introducing Romantic Wild Roses Clear Stamps- JustRite Papercraft March Release

Good morning everyone! Welcome to the fabulous March release from JustRite Papercraft. Spring will be here soon (I hope) and we're kicking it off with some pretty Romantic Wild Roses! I'm really excited about this set because it incorporates 2 step stamping! If you're not familiar with it, two step stamps allow you to stamp more than one layer of the same image in order to achieve a shaded look without having to color the image yourself. You simply choose the colors you want for each layer from your ink pad collection. If you don't like to color images or don't have any markers, this is perfect for you. Here's my card for you today.

I used the smaller stems to make a wreath using the different pieces that are in the stamp set. I used one of my circle dies and traced around it in pencil for my circle shape. I then stamped around the circle, staying as close to the circle as I could. After I was finished, I just erased the pencil marks. I then stamped a few of the smaller flowers in 2 shades of aqua, stamped the centers in two shades of pink, and cut them out. I added them to the right side of the wreath, using foam adhesive on the center flower for dimension. Here's a look at the set:
There's also a tip sheet that you can download on the JustRite website HERE. It has detailed instructions on how these stamps go together and gives you some examples. You can save it to your computer or print a copy and keep it with the stamps.

Here's a closeup of the details:
