Some French Themed Cards To Share

Hi everyone! I know it's been a while since I updated my blog. I really have been a busy bee working on my Etsy shop and have neglected this space for too long. I'm still making cards, probably even more than before! I have a few to share with you today. I was browsing my local Joann store a while back and came across a new paper line by Jolee's that has a French theme. I think it was geared more toward the party decor creator, but paper is paper!

Starting with my personal favorite! I love this Bonjour any occasion card. I stitched the edges in gold thread. I had so much fun collaging the die cuts together.

I printed the birthday sentiment with my laser printer and used my Minc to gold foil it.

This paper pad has a lot of different looks, so this one is not like the others at all! Another Minc'd sentiment is on this one.

I hope you like my cards today! I'd also like to take the time to point out that I've opened a destash shop on Etsy as well. I'll be purging my stash and selling some of my stamps and other supplies at great prices! See the link in the right sidebar or click HERE.

Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely weekend!

JustRite Papercraft New Release- Small Oval Wishes

Happy Saturday! Today I'm sharing a card made with brand new stamps from JustRite Papercraft. Small Oval Wishes is a wonderful sentiment set that can be combined with the included oval frame stamps and cut out with their new oval dies.

Okay, I'll be honest, this card is all about this gorgeous paper from Pebbles called Cottage Living. I do tend to make my cards based on my paper choices, but the stamps and dies are the perfect partners to bring this card to life. I've chosen the birthday sentiment because these are the ones I tend to make the most of. I stamped the frame first in mint green ink, then used the oval die and scalloped oval die from  Joy Oval Frame Dies that are also part of the new release. The banners were cut using Stitched A2 Banners And Rectangles dies, which were released previously. I've found that I use these die all the time! I really had fun plying around with this set, it's a really good collection of versatile sentiments and would make a great addition to your collection.

Thanks for joining me today! I'll be back during the week to show you some cards using more of JustRite's new release, I hope you'll join me!

Mother's Day Challenge At My Sheri Crafts!

Good afternoon! It's time for a new challenge over at My Sheri Crafts and we are celebrating Mother's Day! Show us your Mother's day projects and made sure there is a flower on it somewhere!
Here's my Mother's day card for you:
I recently purchased the Treasured Moments collection by Kaisercraft and it is a stunning collection of papers! The main floral paper was used as the background on my card. It has a wonderful water colored look that is all the rage. I like using cameos as focal points on Mother's Day cards, I found this one in the Silhouette store. I added a sweet satin flower to her hair. All dies are by Spellbinders and the sentiment is from JustRite Papercraft.

I hope you'll join us this week and link up those Mother's day projects! Hope to see you there. Have a lovely week!

My Sheri Crafts Challenge- Thinking Of You

Happy Saturday! It is time for another challenge over at My Sheri Crafts! The theme this time around is 'Thinking Of You'. I have a colorful Spring  card for you today.

This one was made from an older Anna Griffin card kit named Engraved Botanicals. I just adore the yellows and blues on this card; it such a crisp addition and really sets off the pinks and greens in the sentiment and flowers. Thinking Of You cards are a very versatile card to have in your card stash. They can be used as sympathy cards, encouragement cards, miss you cards or to reconnect with someone you may have lost touch with.

I hope you'll join us this challenge and link up your thinking of you cards. See you at My Sheri Crafts!

Thanks for stopping by!

It's Easter Time!

Good evening everyone! I hope this post finds you well and getting ready for your Easter celebrations this Sunday. Spring has finally arrived in my part of Georgia, and besides everything being covered in pollen at the moment, it is really beautiful! The dogwood trees are in bloom and the perennials in our yard are waking from their winter slumber. In the spirit of Spring,  I whipped up  a few quick and easy Easter cards this week using old Easter postcard images.

This is one of my favorites! The post card image is just so sweet. I've layered it onto a beautiful framed  card background, added a doily, ribbon and paper flowers. Very quick to make and I love the result.

This stunner is a pretty atypical Easter color scheme of blue and yellow. I adore this postcard image!

Don't you just love these bunnies? So sweet! All this one needed was a lavender mat on top of some lovely pink flocked paper and a silk ribbon bow.

These were all very easy and simple to do, but yet they have a lot of impact. Sometimes more is not more!

I would like to take this time to wish you a very Happy Easter and let you know how much I appreciate your visits and wonderful comments! I'll be back on Saturday for a new challenge over at My Sheri Crafts. See you then!

My Sheri Crafts Challenge- Lace

Good evening! I know my post is late; my apologies. Sometimes life gets in the way of best laid plans! It's time for a new challenge over at My Sheri Crafts! I'm the host today and we want to see your lace! Incorporate lace into your project this time around.

I used some yummy black lace on my card for you today. I made this card from the new Belle Vie collection from Photo Play Paper. They're a new company and this collection is just gorgeous! It has French theme that features pretty dresses and dress forms. I kept my layout simple and symmetrical with the use of the dressform image  from the sticker sheet. I matted it on a coordinating paper cut with a Romantic Rectangle Spellbinder die. My accents are pale pink seam binding and a pretty pink flower accented with clear glitter. The sentiment was printed out from my computer Minc'ed with gold foil and hand cut into a fishtail banner.

I hope you'll join us for the challenge over at My Sheri Crafts! Thanks for stopping and have a lovely weekend!♥

My Sheri Crafts Challenge- Be My Valentine

Happy Saturday! It's time for another challenge over at My Sheri Crafts! The theme this time around is "Be My Valentine"! Also please use red, pink and/or white in your project. I've managed to use all three in my card for you today.

My card is loaded up with vintage sweetness! I've used mostly Anna  Griffin products here. All mixed and matched, including Cottage Roses Stickers, an XOXO die, gorgeous papers and card bases. The sentiment is from the Juliet Collection. I've added my own pink May Arts silk ribbon and a sparkling embellishment from Jolee's French General collection.

I hope you'll join us, the challenge will go on  nearly two weeks so you have plenty of time to enter!
See you there! Have a lovely weekend!

JustRite Papercraft January Release- Sweet Flowers And Vines Clear Stamps

Happy Tuesday my friends! I'm back with another card featuring JustRite Papercraft's newest release!
Today I'm featuring Sweet Flowers And Vines And Vintage Labels Ten dies. It's a timely one as well, since Valentine's Day is just around the corner.

This set has sweet roses and tulips that you can mix and match with vines and leaves to make beautiful bouquets for your cards. I chose the roses since they are typically for Valentine's day. Vintage Labels Ten dies are a really cute almost Moroccan shape. I stamped the heart from Sweet Flowers And Vines in the middle and layered the larger die cut behind it. The long oval in Vintage Labels Ten is perfect for the sentiments included in Sweet Flower And Vines.

JustRite Papercraft New Release- Lilies And Butterflies Clear Stamps

Good morning! Today I'm sharing a new card featuring one of the newest releases from JustRite Papercraft. Lilies And Butterflies is a multi step stamp set that features lovely florals, leaves, butterflies and decorative elements that can be mixed and matched any way you choose.
I've chosen the largest swirl base in the set to begin building my focal image. I stamped it in green, and then added the smaller leaves in the same color. I've stamped my flowers on the end of the stalks using red and deep mauve inks. The butterfly is also stamped in a deep red. You can see the little dotted accents I've added as well. This set is great because you can use the flowers by themselves to make clusters or you can use the two swirled bases included to make a stemmed floral spray like I did. The rest of the card is easy, I just layered several die cuts along with my focal image onto a 5.5x5.5 square card. I embellished my card with a bit of deep green silk ribbon and a rhinestone button. I've chosen not to add a sentiment to the front of my card, but one could be added easily.

Click HERE to see this set in the JustRite store.

Stay tuned, I have more cards from JustRite to show you .Thanks for stopping over and have a lovely day!

There is no right or wrong with this set, just use your creativity to make whatever you desire. I really like how you can 'wing it' so to speak. My Sheri Crafts Challenge-Let's Build A Snowman!

Happy New Year! I hope your Christmas was wonderful and merry! I've been taking a little time off from blogging the past couple of weeks to spend with my family. I apologize for not posting more recently. My New Year's resolution (among others) is to get back into blogging more. I've been focusing on my Etsy shop and trying to get it off the ground and it's taken up more time than I have liked! The bright side is I've been making many cards and other types of projects that I will be able to share with you this year!

Onward and upward, It's also time for a new challenge over at My Sheri Crafts! This time we're asking for you to include a snowman in your project! I didn't have many snowman themed items in my stash, but I finally found this older Crate Paper collection that has a cute snowman paper.

Aren't they just the cutest? I know this card looks a bit like Christmas since it's pretty much red and green, but the sentiment makes it a nice winter theme. I bet this could be used for a January birthday just fine!

I hope you'll join us for the challenge, I  can't wait to see what you make! Click here to head over to My Sheri Crafts to link up your project! Thanks for stopping by today, have a great weekend!
